Some very interesting books. i found a climate history (detailed records) of Illinois, 1850s to 1919. Also a history of the year without a summer (1816) published in 1933 by Harvard Universitry. A few of the topical chapters...

Fascinating stuff. Note that the authors cannot bring themselves to use the word "warm" in the abstract, instead using Medieval Climate Anomaly (MCA).
