www.newscientist.com/article/dn28684-big-task-after-climate-deal-is-to-get-public-to-care/"To casual observers, the breathless headlines and scenes of joyous relief from within the Le Bourget complex in Paris after days of talks might suggest that climate change has been solved. They could be forgiven for concluding “job done” and perhaps switching off – just at the point when a wave of public interest is required to transform the rhetoric of the deal into reality. But in the climate-change hall of mirrors, a “historic” agreement is never quite what it seems. As many observers pointed out, the language of the accord was in places watered down so as to be almost meaningless. On several key issues, it was not legally binding."

thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/energy-environment/263551-12-steps-to-climate-sobrietyThe nations of the world have unanimously agreed, 195 to zero, that climate change is a major problem, that human activities are a major cause and that it's high time to do something about it. Those debates are now over globally, although some American politicians have yet to notice. This signals the arrival of a new era, an era in which the catastrophic consequences of our global fossil fuel addiction have become so obvious that they can no longer be ignored. Recognizing that the world has a problem — and that human activities caused it — is the first step on the long and uncertain path to finding solutions. The Paris summit should put to rest the last of the climate deniers in our own nation. A new Yale University study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Science demonstrates that for past two decades, corporate funding has served as the underpinning of a unified network of "contrarian" lobbying firms, politicians and think tanks dedicated to polarizing the issue of climate change and creating the appearance of scientific doubt that human activities are the source of global climate problems. In short, we've been taken for a ride. Now that the tie between corporate funding and specific language and thematic content of climate deniers has been demonstrated scientifically with robust data, political leaders should dispense with the charades and start seeking solutions instead

"creating the appearance of scientific doubt"
im not sure it even has to be scientific, a part of being a 'denier' is having some kind of common sense, a opposed to a tendency to panic.

Thing about this is, there IS scientific doubt. The literature makes no bones about it. However, the op-eds etc try to portray it as all cut and dried. Packaged and ready for Christmas delivery.

CHIEF ROY SPEAKETH ON COP21 POW WOWwww.drroyspencer.com/ Paris Pow Wow Heap Good
December 13th, 2015 If global warming was a concern in the 1800s, Hollywood might have portrayed the COP21 Paris global warming pow wow like this… Of course, Hollywood seldom uses such racial stereotypes anymore…unless they are of White Southerners. Vice-Chief Kerry of the Developed Tribes: “All chiefs must dance to the rain gods, or no rain will fall on our lands. Or too many rains. After rain dance, we smoke peace pipe.” Chief Boingo of the Undeveloped Tribes: “Our people will not dance. Unless much wampum is given to our people. For we have suffered greatly. The clouds do not give their tears. Or give too much…whatever. Only after much wampum will we then smoke peace pipe.” Vice-Chief Kerry of the Developed Tribes: “How much wampum does Chief Boingo speak of?” Chief Boingo of the Undeveloped Tribes: “As much wampum as stars in sky and as many moons have passed since our ancestors fell asleep”. Vice-Chief Kerry of the Developed Tribes: “Hmmm. That’s much wampum. My people will not be happy. What say we smoke-um peace pipe and tell our peoples rain dance was good, anyway? We send a few wampum as we can. And we throw in some fire water?” Chief Boingo of the Undeveloped Tribes: “Ugg. Just like other pow-wows, eh? OK.” Chief Obama of the Developed Tribes addresses all tribes of Earth: “After many moons of rain dance and pow wow talk, the Developed Tribes chiefs have made peace with the Undeveloped Tribes, and with Earth. Now the clouds will cry tears of joy, and the great waters will be kept from our villages.”
