Hi Sig, I find I can only do it on a pc, not as a quick reply but in the page with the font options etc.
I'll save any image to the pc hard drive
You want to add as an attachment, not as an image, the icon is on the top bar to the right..... you'll get an option to download up to three attachments,
Think it's easy from there, image has to be less then 1mb, click upload select image from files on pc, green bar will grow as image uploads, once ready....click insert, done
It may be Internet images can be posted using url, but tbh I found the above works and tho maybe long winded is consistent in results

OK, I know it has been explained to me, but I am daft. How in the world do you load a picture? Thanks in advance. 1. Either find a picture that exists on the web already or upload your picture to something like photobucket to get the picture available on the web before you try to show it on the forum. 2. In your forum post put [i.mg src=" (without that .) at the beginning of the link for your picture on the web and put " a.lt=" "] (without that .) at the end of the link. So if i right click my avatar I can see the picture on a separate page by selecting view image. I then copy the url of that jpeg storage.proboards.com/2648120/a/OkeJMzwL_kF4r2_uDauz.jpgAnd add [i.mg src=" and " a.lt=" "] (dont put the full stops in) And it automatically shows as a picture on the forum

Thank you. Now I can try both, as I have more time. I had not tried the attachment method, kept trying to insert pic. Thank you , thank you! Merry Christmas! what browser do you use sig? This forum has an easy image embedder. The important and variable thing depends upon your browser and operating system. But what you want to copy is the "image URL" often when looking at a picture you have a webpage URL in the address/search bar of your browser. Usually you can click on the picture and pick a selection that copies the image URL. From there its easy, you copy it into your reply, highlight what you copied and click the small picture icon in the post tool bar its right after the globe link and the email link and a little rectangle pops up next to the icon that says insert image. If you have a valid image url and have inserted it and highlighted it the boxes will already be filled in properly and you can hit enter or click the insert image button and you are done. The only variables are how you select and copy the image URL and that depends upon your browser and/or operating system.

Since this is called "picture thread", I thought I would post this picture. This is a giant oak tree that a friend of mine cut down. It had succumbed to the effects of the heat/drought of 3 or 4 years ago when we had terrible summers for 2 years in a row.

He had told me how many rings, but I forgot. I think I was surprised that it was younger than I expected. It sat fairly near the Arkansas River and I guess had been soaking up constantly available water to get that large.

I think it was the heat more than the drought that killed a few trees those years, I think 2013. People talk about the drought, but I think that the heat was the issue then. The drought was not as severe as people thought.

Taken in Western Queensland in the back yard of the old Muttaburra Hospital. I guess patients in the hospital proper would not be able to hear the screams:
