Hey Mo'boy not used to snow up there?
People's memories and habits are short. Its been awhile. Officially we've had slightly less than 24" to date. In 2011 we accumulated 46" and in 2013 34". These pale in comparison to the "triple whammy" years of 1977-1979, which averaged 42" per year. Those were the years of the "Great Climate Shift". And I can't help but comparing to the sun. The second chart shows annual & 5-year snowfall compared to solar flux. The larger snow years seem to locate along the upside or downside edges of cycles, when flux is rapidly changing.

A young woman brought her fiancé home to meet her parents.
After dinner, her mother told the girl's father to find out about the young man.
The father invited the fiancé to his study for a talk.
"So, what are your plans?" the father asked the young man.
"I am a biblical scholar," he replied
"A biblical scholar, hmmm?" the father said. "Admirable, but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter?"
I will study," the young man replied, "and God will provide for us."
"And how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she deserves?" asked the father.
"I will concentrate on my studies," the young man replied, "God will provide for us."
"And children?" asked the father. "How will you support children?"
"Don't worry, sir, God will provide," replied the fiancé.
The conversation proceeded like this ... and each time the father questioned, the young idealist insisted that God would provide.
Later, the mother asked, "How did your talk go, honey?"
The father answered, "He's a Democrat voter. He has no job, he has no plans, and he thinks I'm God.”

I know many of you are good at math and will be AMAZED at how scary true and accurate this test is.
Just do the calculations and see if it you get a match for your your all-time favorite movie.
1. Pick a number from 1-9.
2. Multiply that number by 3.
3. Add 3.
4. Multiply by 3 again.
5. Your total will be a two digit number. Add the first and second digits together to find your favorite movie (of all time) in the list of 17 movies below. Movie List: 1. Gone With the Wind 2. ET. 3. Blazing Saddles 4. Star Wars 5. Forrest Gump 6. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly 7. Jaws 8. Grease 9. Hillary Clinton Concession Speech 10. Casablanca 11. Jurassic Park 12. Shrek 13. Pirates of the Caribbean 14. Titanic 15. Raiders of the Lost Ark 16. Home Alone 17. Mrs. Doubtfire

I spend the winter in southern Arizona and today we are covered with snow. I've temporarily replaced my avatar of monument valley with this view taken out of one of my windows. My house is at an elevation of a little over 3,000 ft. Behind the hill you see in the picture is a 10,000 ft mountain which is close by - a 10 mile strenuous trek to the top - and would normally be visible in this picture, but it is now in the clouds (looks like the sky in the picture) which are dropping copious amounts of snow. There is a riverbed in the valley between my house and the hill and generally the "river" is just a trickle in a mostly dry riverbed. When the temperature pops back into the 70's and 80's the river will come alive from the melting snow and look like a smaller version of the mississippi with a much faster flow rate due to the considerable elevation drops.
