Congrats. Mine just finished his sophomore year. Besides getting good grades and staying sane, he shows no interest or sympathy for left wing politics. I'm a happy man. Congrats on yours, mine has also shown no interest in left wing politics. Then it must be a cycle. IF there is any general truth (on average) to generations and turnings ... and cycles in history ... then mine and yours will have to put back together that which our generation "hath wrought asunder". I think we may have just seen a good example of the "I have no clue mid to late life generation" (aged ~55 to 73) with a small smattering of their privileged first generation descendants (aged ~30-48) on the Democrat stage last night. If they win in the teeth of a deteriorating physical and political climate (reasonable phrase?) life could get a lot more challenging. Life is tough Pilgram! If you're stupid, it gets a lot tougher. Neither of mine lean left. My work is done. The "mines" are productive then. Both pulling their weight, helping with the welfare budget.

Any of the democratic contenders vs President Camacho from "Idiocracy". Myself, I'd have to go with Camacho.

You pays your money, and you takes your chances. After which you consults an attorney. After all, nothing can be "an act of God" in the best of all possible worlds. And if it was ... the attorney has not yet located his bank account.

Experts Warn We Have Only 12 Years Left Until They Change The Timeline On Global Warming AgainWORLD—Climate experts have solemnly warned that we only have twelve years left until they change the dates on global warming again.
"If we don't take action, then in 12 years we will have to explain why the world hasn't ended and come up with a new number," one UN scientist warned. "This is a very serious threat, and we urge everyone to hand control of the economy to the government immediately before we have no more time left to change the timeline again."
The scientific consensus is that roughly 10-12 years from now, the world will be flooded with new doomsday predictions. This can all be avoided if we overhaul the economy and become socialists, according to non-political, unbiased sciencey type guys.
"Should we not change our ways, our old predictions will melt, dangerously raising the chance of us having to move the goalposts again," said Al Gore. "Do you really want me to write another book, film another movie, and go on another tour in my private jet just because you dingbats couldn't be bothered to alter your lifestyles? I don't think so. Let's all get on board with this 12-year figure, or we'll have to push back the date again."
