Follow the Math.....
“It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.”
― Douglas Adams, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe

Well, in ND we had brains and didn't have a "lockdown". Wouldn't have went over if it had been tried. WE make it through winters with -30F temps and summers with +100 temps at times. Ya really think a virus makes us afraid?

Ya really think a virus makes us afraid? You also live in a small largely agricultural community where everyone is 'close to nature'. Death, illness etc are not hidden away they are part of getting food on the table. In the blue state effete townie communities food comes from a serving hatch in a fast food restaurant or for the really hands on types from a supermarket in a plastic pack. Power from a plug and death is something they tend not to see or experience. This makes the blue state effete townies ideal for propaganda about death risks. They are incredibly easily frightened (and that is real fear - not snowflake safe space fear). As you will have seen from comment responses to the media - there are some people who are spending time hiding under their beds - who consider that someone going out without a mask is killing people. The difference walking around stores in Virginia when I was last up there in May and in Florida was startling. People not only wearing masks but also latex surgical gloves, backing away from you if you got too close.

I don't think anyone really wants to find out. It will take a lot more than 25,000 I can assure you. I can also assure you that there may be some spare ammo here, as well as a whole lot of folks who KNOW how to "make a shot count".
The beauty is, we would just absorb the troops sent. We don't want to fire on anyone, NOR do we desire to be "target practice". Knowledge of the lay of the land is important. We would welcome an increase in our ranks.........just sayin.

I think that the Federal government would have a hard time convincing local sherifs and the Missouri National State Guard to fire on their own people. The US military would probably not want any part of that either. But you never know. In 1861, Missouri declined to secede, but refused to send troops to invade other southern states. The Lincoln administration then sent Federal troops from other States to invade Missouri. They seized the Capitol and drove the majority of the duly elected representatives into exile. The result was a long, bloody guerrila war. The real question might be, where would individual states draw the line on surrendering to Federal Government dictates. Where and when would they say ... We are not doing that! States and their voters ought to be giving serious consideration to when ... and over what issues ... they would tell the administration to f_ck off. Probably not too many Wokers that want to settle in N Dakota or rural Missouri for that matter. But then again ... probably not too many real Wokers in the Military. They don't seem like the camping sort.

And now for something completely different.... It has been raining heavily in UK and there are floods in many areas - one of the pictures shown is of a 400-year-old English Civil War fort in Earith, Cambridgeshire, has been highlighted after heavy rain and flooding filled a moat around the earthworks.. What was interesting about that is there are several forts around here built by both Spain and and England when the first settlers were here - so here is Fort Augustine built by the Spanish. St. Augustine was the first city in America. Therefore making it the oldest city in the United States, founded by the Spanish in 1565. St. Augustine has three forts that guard it. Castillo de San Marcos, Fort Mantanzas, and Fort Mose were all built to protect the city. The Castillo de San Marcos is the oldest masonry fort in the continental United States. This is Castillo de San Marcos. Interesting that the design is almost identical - there are several Forts in Florida of this design some of which were in use right up to 1900s
