You'd think that Bette would understand how easy it is to morph a stereotype. Change guys to girls and presto ... bathroom mirrors exploding all over the USA.

That is an extremely good description of the problem with the European Union it is a EUrocracy - an "Administrative State". The same could be said of the United Nations. This is not an accident it is the dream of the Globalists - and they almost got there. A Hillary Clinton ruled USA would have signed off US regulation to TTP and TTIP, would have signed off US energy policy to the UN and COP21. And the Administrative state would have assumed power.

Once again Naut, I am not optimistic. Trump is just a speed bump to the globalist agenda. The next crop of folks that will be elected to run this country hate its founding and are pushing the MSM packaged “We Are The World” and “Imagine” theme to an illiterate, vapid electorate. I hope I’m wrong and the mob devoures itself to leave only thinking humans to inherit this great country.

Strangely, this is where I hope that climate 'science' gets totally shot down by Astro's forecast cold. The only reason these people are working as they are is that they have idle time (I consider someone working in the Department of Education as idle). If the cold reduces food supplies significantly as it could do, gives continual brown outs and blackouts due to inept planning of the power grids, so that internet, smart phones and TV are not always there, people start worrying about survival. A centralized government cannot control things if the communications are breaking down. Someone wittering on about politics when people are cold and hungry is likely to end head first in the nearest snow drift. I think we could see considerable change over the next decade. And of course there is the convention of states.

Could be one reason that Nancy doesn't want one. Naut. That convention of the states could swing both ways. Have some reservations about opening up the Constitutional recipe to the "New Agenda". The old fashioned amendment process requires more sweat and may be safer. I'm not convinced we have a new, exceptional generation of founding fathers.

The tide is moving against the side of common sense, I'm not optimistic, you can't stand in front of the tide for long.

When asked to surrender his guns and position, he supposedly replied ... "Come and take them." And of course they did. But it was their last hurrah.

Notice that the "spontaneous" race riots ended immediately after the departure of the Obama/Holder/Lynch regime.

"Mann vs. Steyn likely to head to Supreme Court Anthony Watts / 6 mins ago February 14, 2019 Mark Steyn writes on his webpage:
There was some modest activity yesterday in the Mann vs Steyn climate-change hockey-stick case, which will shortly be entering its eighth year. As that ludicrous fact testifies, it has been procedurally bollocksed by the District of Columbia courts, which is why it will almost certainly be headed to the Supreme Court. When it gets there, it will be the most consequential free-speech case since New York Times vs Sullivan fifty-five years ago."Discussion on WUWT wattsupwiththat.com/2019/02/14/mann-vs-steyn-likely-to-head-to-supreme-court/Mark Steyn's original post: www.steynonline.com/9196/a-cockwomble-reaches-for-hockey-stick
