We blame unprecedented sea level rise for the loss of our continent and we want it back. No problem! what-if.xkcd.com/53/ At about -2km NZ appears to be trying to high-five Australia. Gridley, I got you an avatar .... no need to thank me.

With Ghislaine Maxwell's capture, me thinks Prince Andy may be in deep doo doo. Maybe Billy Boy too. Expect multiple hitmen(women) with big paychecks to descend. She'll be singing like the World's biggest songbird.

Bye Bye Lockdown - Oops - Oh Well
LONDON — Lockdown restrictions were eased, the pubs opened and crowds flocked onto the streets of English cities Saturday, many ignoring social distancing rules and prompting complaints from the police. A number of arrests were made. John Apter, chair of the Police Federation for England and Wales, warned that it “crystal clear” that drunk people cannot social distance. Apter, who was on patrol in Southampton, a city on England’s south coast, wrote on Twitter that officers dealt with, “anti-social behavior, naked men, possession of class ‘A’ drugs, happy drunks, angry drunks, fights, more angry drunks.” Elsewhere, in Brentwood, a small town east of London, moments after he urged people to "enjoy yourself" but to "behave," Special Inspector Steve Weaver tweeted that four people had been arrested. "That didn't last long," he wrote. www.nbcnews.com/news/world/arrests-revelers-defy-distancing-rules-after-pubs-reopen-england-n1232923

That was not a mission that I organised. Seems to have worked well though. Nice "vice" maneuver. And ... for 127 cases the border is closing? Australia Closes Interstate Border Because Of Coronavirus Outbreak www.npr.org/2020/07/06/887659557/australia-closes-interstate-border-because-of-coronavirus-outbreakNew South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian said that the border would first shut down to residents of Melbourne, where the outbreak has been concentrated, and then will extend to all residents of Victoria on Wednesday. Police and health officials will monitor 55 ground crossings — including highways, bridges and waterways — as well as airports and rail stations according to a report from ABC Australia. "We wouldn't have taken this step unless we absolutely had to," Berejiklian said. "Please know this is not a decision we take lightly, but during the pandemic I have always said New South Wales will have a no-regrets policy."

And now they're treeless. I noticed very few tree roots visible when that tree came down. I have noticed my own council severing tree roots of standing trees because they disrupt the pavement/sidewalk. Seems a very daft idea to me.

It happened on the beach in front of #1 son's unit. I can understand how that happened. Depending how deep he was diving, you can get caught. It is imperative to have a watch to time your dive. I didn't realize how dangerous it is and almost blacked out while going to the surface. At 70-80', there is enough compression of CO that you don't feel short of oxygen. Start the ascent and everything changes very quickly. 4 minutes became my threshold.
