There is always an element of timing in the data to generate a worst this or that. The numbers are bad but who would have thought that the bulk of people sitting at home on subsidies would not generate a significant drop in output. This is not a Monty Python joke. the real question is about the future. The UK is building herd immunity as is much of Europe but there will be setbacks as the weather cools and the offices fill the R will rise above 1 now and then. How smart are the polies could they institute a Vit D program with Zinc and HCQ or similar and get the economy going, just as it gains its independence from Europe. It will be the test of a more dynamic UK or not. Boris its your moment. Boris has one big handbrake his partner. She is attractive but very green. This is what I do not understand. If all countries were to ensure that their populations were sufficient in vitamin D and then had zinc supplements with quercetin or HCQ then the pandemic would be over in a fortnight. The antiviral effects of zinc and a zinc ionophore have been known for decades. It is simple and cheap and could have been started in February with just dietary advice - and the pandemic would not have happened. There is STILL no official dietary advice - on the contrary all the politicians have been trained to say without a vaccine we cannot get back to normal - which is completely untrue. If you catch COVID-19 have a week of zinc/HCQ/antibiotic then you will recover AND you will have immunity. Really no need to have a vaccine at all. SSHHH!!

this is not hard to answer ..for those that were well off 60k+ a yr jobs your seeing quiet a few losing there as they are working for big company's. and big company's downshift in times like these and yes even us lower paid people are getting hit but not as much .. and it really depends where you live ..down south are getting hit way more than us northerners. my bro walked out of his £30k job a week ago ..and yesterday got another (he's the guy who plans where all the water pipes and electrics, gas, wastepipes go on a new build area). but i don't see any major hardships for most of us yet .. hell i just bought a house and spent £15k tidying it up (after the 00's fall we lost ours and have been renting and saving) but time will tell lets see if there's a second wave which i don't think will happen more of us have had it than is being said .. i'd say 30-40% and with all the mixing it's sure to hit 60% by winter Glad to hear that. Same is true in Mid-Missouri. Tradesmen and those who actually create, build and maintain continue to prosper (more or less) if they have not acquired debt beyond their means. Professional tradesmen are almost always employed. They build and actually produce something for a living. Social justice graduates not so much. They must first destroy ... and having destroyed, know nothing about constructing. We are having a good year, for whatever reason. I think that I see evidence that there is a foundation of genuine strength in the economy that they have not managed to kill yet. If we all would just shake the fog of this nonsense off and get back to work, we would put the recession behind us in 20 minutes.

I don't know about Australia ... but ALL Democrats should. Ya never know just what they might be up to. It's like the old joke ... Why does the sun never set on the British Empire? God would never trust an Englishman in the dark.

That's very harsh.
I once enjoyed a trip to France as a much younger traveler where a French women said to me that "homosexuality was sickness of the English" great line if a little predictable, no offense intended to our team of ex and native Anglo's but suspect many would consider this as a badge of honour.

Actually, I think that the Irish may have coined that one. The Germans are always up to something new. Although, with their history, some might consider it an improvement. Now my German friends won't speak to me for a week ... but my Italian friends are grateful that I didn't assume it was an Italian program. Either way, there's a Democrat hiding in there somewhere. www.dw.com/en/art-school-gives-out-grants-for-doing-nothing/a-54630692

This shows how rapidly a democracy can become a police state. The only way out of this is for someone in authority somewhere to reign the minor authorities in. But the politicians like the power and the world media are not going to go to the aid of the few media outlets that are bucking the trend and trying to get real unmassaged information out. And all of this for fear of a minor infection that affects a small minority of the population, can be treated in a week for a few dollars and for which there are now vaccines.

You simply must submit. And not just physically, there must be no trace of dissent in your mind. They can gauge that by observing your reaction to their bizarre new regulations.
