I remember Douglas MacArthur having "a beef" with a President ... and a bit of an ego to go with it. Mac thought a lot of himself.

I had an uncle and a cousin who fought in New Guinea on the Kokoda Track. Both were lucky to survive without a scratch but the cousin had his neck broken on return to Oz when he stepped in to break up a fight in a bar. He survived that and went on to live to a ripe old age despite two more neck breaks.

Regarding the narrative of this thread I think it is safe to say NO, Trump will not survive. I am going to predict he will not be reelected. Any counter narratives? Yep, President Trump will be re-elected.

Not sure why but all the poles said last time he would be walked over and if anything the poling is much stronger this time so yes he will win again.
Still a lot can happen in the next months.
Maybe 20 million new jobs created would be the thing that does it and I suspect that will happen.
Or he gets shot and Nikki Haley stands for him and that would be a landslide to the Republicans. Not that great a fan of his, very clunky narrative, but he has good instincts.

It's hard to know from a distance and, because my own politics are to the Right of Genghis Khan, I may not be a good judge. I might have a few dollars on his opponent with SportsBet.

The later's legal name was Captain Hurley Breedlove. His rank was private ... which apparently provided much amusement in the ranks. Granddad had some unusual naming conventions. One of his daughter's middle names was Roy.

Instincts relates to his desire to reduce economic interference and reduce tax, all good. Troubling use of English, or something.
