Ratty, I own a stone quarry but it is layered dimensional sandstone building stone, not a hard polishable rock like granite or basalt lol Our names of shame might erode after only 500 years Remember my idea of a big, polished obelisk somewhere out on the prairie, listing the names of the AGW promoters, and recording their staements and predictions. It will be there for thousands of years. Maybe help the next generation avoid being enslaved by villains using weaponized, false science. First response .... names only but a start:

I plan to call tenders. I don't think sandstone will do it, based on personal experience: When I walk the beach, I can feel the sand beneath & between my toes. Definitely not strong enough. PS: Love the look of your slab though .... where's the quarry?

No, it definitely won't do it.. The quarry is in eastern Oklahoma, USA on a big ranch
Cortez is dying to get on that list you know, I think we should let her on
Ratty, we joke around on here so much, I have to ask- are you serious? Are you actually running with this? I can't tell. If so, I'd feel obligated to help. It is a good idea, and really should be done. This debacle is going down in history as one of those times when science did not function correctly.

Yes, the Cortex should be there. But don't worry about the longevity of the sandstone ... the world only has 12 years. Matter of fact the dedication can read, "Dedicated in the year of her esteemed assinity, 12 BCaC" ( Before Catastrophe according to Cortex) PS. Perhaps it will be an allowed deduction before she gets her 70% from you. Is this a possibility? Too obtuse?

I like it. Probably too obtuse to raise funds with lol
On second thought, it should have a place somewhere. It's really spot on and also poignant.

Sargon might be pleased. By 13 BCaC it can be a major Oklahoma tourist attraction. Hmmm ... "The remnants of the climate of Mann." (on the base w/ the honor role on the sides). The taco stand can be in front. Look on My Works, Ye Mighty, and Despair!Nothing beside remains.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LookOnMyWorksYeMightyAndDespair

Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them

Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them With Shelley and Ozymandias you might get an "antiquities brought to life" grant. The prose is very appropriate. I like it. George Carlin would like it. Michael Mann might consider a contract. Perfect ... unless you can replace, or companion the "oil derrick" at the OK state capital. Ozymandias Percy Bysshe Shelley I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed: And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias Mann, climate king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away. (with apologies to Percy Shelley)

A couple liked it a lot but I'm not running with it. There would be little support for the idea in our current blistering Summer. Adelaide in the grip of potentially its hottest day on record

We flew into Sydney on a trip back to Bahrain from the US Midwest via Tahiti on September 10, 2001. Rode a train up to Katoomba the same day. Trackside eucalyptus forests were very interesting. Woke up to videos of airplanes flying into buildings. Andrew (age 1 year) was fascinated by a man and his didgeridoo. Was actually a little cool in the morning.

If you look at the demographics, everyone wants to be near the coast. Lack of water infrastructure (and political vision) means that the vast interior will never be populated. We actually have plenty of water but it's not in the right places; most of it flows out to sea: Bradfield Scheme
