Well last night was a surprise. Widespread frost reaching 29 F this morning. This is only the eighth time in 131 years that temps have fallen below 32 F in the last half of April. The last time was in 1986 (34 years ago). Then 1949, 1953 and 1956 (30-37 years before that). Then 1908 and 1910 (39-41 years before that). Then the coldest in 1893 of 26 F. You will notice an apparent periodic pattern here. I needn't point out low solar cycles ... but I will. Note: One of the neighborhood red foxes was out this morning in search of the last of the neighborhood rabbits.

Buried in this article may be the true message ... No energy is innocent. The only truly clean energy is less energy.
I would hate to put words in their mouth, but doe this translate as ... The only good human is a dead human? Minus the elite of course.

And the Yucatan is experiencing a drought like they haven't seen since about 1986. Hmmm.

Melbourne might have its coldest MayDay on record today, following a week of [for us] pretty spectacular rainfall.
Mt Hotham has had about 200mm of rain in two days, currently blizzard conditions in the mountains with snow to low levels.
A little bit of Global Warming would be quite appreciated.

You're a bunch of softies down there in the Peoples Republic of Victoria.

Softer than even the rodent populations of Queensland?!
Mt Hotham had 50 cms of snow today, lots more to come.
