A New Statistic for the Fourth Turning A 10.5 cubic foot freezer holds three-quarters of a processed one-year old heffer. I over did it this year with a whole one. Sold a quarter to a neighbor and now it fits perfectly. Need to sell another quarter, as we really cannot consume that much beef. Last time I did this, it took the better part of 3 years for 2 adults and 1 child to consume half a cow. Marta refuses to eat beef more than twice a week. I am going to have the boy over for sirloin barbeque nights. The semi-vegger can decide to join us or not. The beef was still good at the end of 3 years, even though some people throw it out after 1 year. Maybe I should hold it for "political" gifts if food gets scarce. The "shades" of my cattle-driving Indo-European ancesters would be pleased. The original cowboys of the Pontic Steppe.

I had a similar issue when I lived in Scotland, except there it was sheep and they are not such a large beast as a heifer. Deep fried Mutton pies (scots pies) made of minced (aka ground) mutton and deep fat fried washed down with a 'pint o'heavy' would deplete the amount of meat in the Freezer quite fast. Note that the shape of the pies is intended to trap as much of the fat the pies are deep fried in so they are like cups of beef-dripping with mutton. An acquired taste Non- you have enough sheep down there, you could give it a try

An acquired taste Non- you have enough sheep down there, you could give it a try I too developed a taste for mutton and lamb when I was in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. It was the preferred meat and was shipped in by the boatload from New Zealand and "the Big Island" It was very cheap and very good. It is VERY expensive here. Otherwise, I prefer it to beef actually. But the price is ridiculous.

Yes, we eat a lot of Lamb. The problem nowadays is the cost is rising due to so much demand globally. We pay NZ$25/Kg about US$7/lb for reasonable cuts like boned leg of lamb. Recently I have been running a low carb diet for the usual reasons with an emphasis on saturated fats and low vegetable oils meat must be grass-fed etc. What a great diet those Africans must have had, eat what you like and lose weight I am enjoying it a lot. Bought a 4K BBQ so smoke this and that and big cuts of meat, not so popular with the wife and when the daughter returns from University having recently transitioned to nonvegetarian ways she can be overwhelmed.

When she returns from school, you can remind her of her Indo-European roots ... those Pontic Steppe "cowboys" knew their meat. A price of $7/lb is not unreasonable (US anyway) given the inflation. My cow cost $2.25 / lb rail weight (722 lbs) when it went to the buttchers. After waste loss and cutting/packaging my final cost (across all cuts) was just under $5 / lb for 400+ lbs of beef. Given that the pricier cuts are going for upwards of $14+/lb and hamberger is $3/lb, I guess I got a good deal. Your ancestors would be proud of your diet. My cow was grass fed and topped off with corn. But I'd still like to have some of them sheep.

There is a huge disinformation campaign in play, manufacturing lies across all media. It is happening right now. They are attacking again. Sorry to make a crazy, alarmist post, but we are living in a twilight zone world. It's quite something.

I believe that I took too large a dose of Internet news today. Yes, certain articles did set me off, but it is really all just standard Internet fodder in 2021. Virtually all published news, articles, and opinion papers are produced by the globalist network. And those papers are almost all that you will be presented with on any Internet search.

Have you ever noticed, given a topic that you might be familiar with, and then some aspect of it is renamed- or the story slightly changed. The change will occur across all information venues simultaneously.

There is a huge disinformation campaign in play, manufacturing lies across all media. It is happening right now. They are attacking again. Sorry to make a crazy, alarmist post, but we are living in a twilight zone world. It's quite something. Maybe I've grown deaf and jaded ... any specifics? I will admit what prompted that post last night- earlier I posted a link regarding the armed march in Tulsa on the anniversary of the "race massacre" (previously always called the "Tulsa Race Riot")- I have observed over the last few years the process of how that history has been re-written and weaponized for a political purpose, and I have been amazed at how as subtle changes in the story are made, the narrative changes across all all platforms at the same time. Someone is in charge, and literally re-writes history as they wish to see it read. And now, predictably, there is an armed militia of Black Panthers marching 3.5 miles from my house. Which our fake republican mayor GT Bynum issued a permit allowing. His house sits only a mile further south of mine lol, but he would sell his own mother for another term. But, the reason I sounded the alarm last night- I have been watching as printed material is now being mass produced on many other topics in a similar manner, almost as if being written by fractal algorithms, and all of this stuff is now literally jamming the Internet, it dominates all syndicated news outlets, and it is directly controlling public opinion very efficiently. It is a campaign and it has been stepped up lately IMO.

Cicadas and wolves. Leftists are more like the former. I wish that were true- I could almost accept this type of if it always went away after a month for another 17 years. But it appears that this is not what will happen. The Democrat politicians are completely aware that they have 2 years to screw the country and are now full tilt doing so. The Republicans are in internecine attack mode (as normal) and do not appear to understand that there will be no elections to win in 2022/24. None of them seem to understand or wish to enforce the Enumerated powers and Tenth Amendment. NOTE: The enumerated powers ARE THE LIMIT of what the US Congress can enforce. Anything else is unconstitutional and is someone else's remit.

The change will occur across all information venues simultaneously. I hadn't but it makes sense - it is control of the Narrative and is presumably only possible these days with 'big tech'.
