Wonderful. Just what we need back to back La Nina. sigurdur, I agree, looks like El Nino is now neutral, although it appears there are some lingering climatic affects.

Warmologists say ENOS doesn't explain the last 30 years of warming, yet they all look forward to each El Nino in hopes that it will make it look like the globe is still warming.

Look get this straight. When it gets warmer it is AGW, when it gets colder it is natural cycle. Course I have never seen a good explanation as to why the natural cycle was suddenly able to overcome the run away green house effect of AGW.

Richard: You must be a young feller. I feel I am an inhabitant of the "modern era".....and let me tell ya.....your statement that every decade has been warmer is patently false. Go to wood for trees.....draw yourself a map.....and note what happened during the 40's....and continued for some time.

Magellan, I don't know any 'warmologogists'. I do see that the world has recently experienced the warmest 12 month period ever recorded. I gather that this data is tough to take. (they call it denialism)

thermostat: What data set are you using to make that assumption? It is news to me, so would appreciate verification. IF you are using GISSTEMP......then forget your assumption as you would be wrong.

The US NASA Goddard Center data. (GISS) The key detail to be aware of, the warmest 12 month period was not constrained by an arbitrary January to December definition, but was simply 12 consecutive months; ie the warmest 12 month period recorded. No, the world has not been getting cooler; or at least that is not what the data show.

thermostat: I knew you were using GISS data. It doesn't even come close to any other data set.
By using the outlier and not verifying it with other data, you have done yourself a diservice.
