We had a week of snow and cold weather (lows off around -3C) the first week in May.
The weather has been significantly colder than normal for May.
This weekend the forecasted high is slightly above 20C which will be the first high above 20C for May.

Our weather was very close to yours william. When the 1st hit, was like a blanket of cold fell over us. Finally getting close to seasonal norms again. Hope it stays.

Being from a place that's typically hot in the summer (north carolina) I wouldn't mind some cool weather.
Of course...degree days being what they are, this wouldn't necessarily be a good thing for farmers.

We've yet to have a summer heat wave at this point, and have not had a +90F degree day all year. This has never happened this late in the year. Highest temp to date is 86F with the average this time of year at 82F.
Last year we already had a couple of +100F heat waves by now. I'm loving the lower electric bills this year.
For the record, this is the high deserts of SoCal.

Still no sign of summer here in trondheim, norway. Also the months january-april ended up in top5 coldest on records. We had one single day with nearly 22c but then after a day it switched right back to normal and below normal temperatures. The forecast for the weekend and coming weekend shows night temps as 1c and highs in the 6-13c range. The local forecast also claims we might get some sleet.
