One also has to wonder whether the government and media’s ongoing deafening silence over the quiet sun and it’s potential catastrophic impacts is intentional. The eco elite believe the world is overpopulated – surely one of the easiest ways to get rid of us billions of surplus ‘valueless’ human beings is to lead us into the jaws of death, unprepared. History tells us the biggest jaws are those of a quiet sun – the silent killer which normally ushers in ice ages and famines More www.twawki.com/?p=6361“There is a single theme behind all our work–we must reduce population levels. Either governments do it our way, through nice clean methods, or they will get the kinds of mess that we have in El Salvador, or in Iran or in Beirut. Population is a political problem. Once population is out of control, it requires authoritarian government, even fascism, to reduce it….” “Our program in El Salvador didn’t work. The infrastructure was not there to support it. There were just too d**ned many people…. To really reduce population, quickly, you have to pull all the males into the fighting and you have to kill significant numbers of fertile age females….” “The quickest way to reduce population is through famine, like in Africa, or through disease like the Black Death….” Thomas Ferguson, State Department Office of Population Affairs, Latin American Desk, February 1981 interview

Hmmmm.....I am sure there is a paranoia board out there someplace where you can indulge this. Never rely on conspiracy when stupidity and group think will do just fine.

Well then hunter how about a rational explanation as to why the role of the sun and the potential impacts of a solar minimum are being ignored by our governments and MSM

Are we being set up? As far as the United States government is concerned, most CongressCreatures - and the current regime - could care less whether the climate is warming or cooling. They see $ dollar signs whenever the subject is broached, to the exclusion of all else.
So they will make a determined effort to pass "global warming abatement legislation" or "global cooling abatement legislation" or whatever angle is the most likely to pass Congress without bringing too many political careers to an end. Because if more than a certain number of seats change parties, they will only be enriching the other party!

Shock new evidence of a NASA scientist faking a fundamental greenhouse gas equation shames beleaguered space administration in new global warming fraud scandal. Caught in the heat are NASA's Dr. Judith Curry and a junk science equation by the space agency’s Dr. Gavin Schmidt creating disarray over a contentious Earth energy graph. The internal row was ignited by the release of a sensational new research paper discrediting calculations crucial to the greenhouse gas theory. More here; climaterealists.com/index.php?id=5810

Agree stranger, money is a big part of it, but then so is power, and so is a distorted worldview by those in power. It's almost as bad as the rich feeling they have a right to play god to save humanity from itself - when the only thing we need to be saved from is them

read up on books that cover how large scale social manias and madnesses occur. It is much more complex than simple greed or pure evil.

Never attribute to conspiracy that which is more easily explained by sloth, stupidity and individual greed.

How about another angle - that ''marvelous ingredient soy is turning up in nearly everything these days (break, biscuits, sauces etc etc etc) as its cheap and meant to be good for your health. Here they dont need to say whether it is GM or not when they include it. Problem is ... GM Soy is now found to cause 3rd generation sterilisation in animals - and likely to be the same in humans. www.twawki.com/?p=6396Different avenue - same result!

Thanks, but I was fishing for some recommendations that are more of a academic/technical nature in the fields of psychology and cultural anthropology, rather than popular contemporary issues/advocacy.
