This morning was our first frost at the house. I live at 2100ft. A little early
This morning I saw a large flock of geese... Heading south... Not sure if those guys are on time or not...
The leaves are turning. Some are even falling... A little early to right on time. Last year a lot of trees got caught with green leaves when the snow hit.
My daughter reported that it snowed on her at school (recess) last week. Two weeks early.
Autumn is here... I need to get ready for winter... It is time to lay in next years firewood... 4 or 5 cords should do it.

Weather here is still shifting between summer like weather and late fall weather. A few nights ago we had 22c at 4am, next day we had no more than 11c during hottest time of the day.

I live in East Texas and we have seen well over 60 days of temps over 100, it is actually the worst summer since the 1920's, and now the trees are losing their leaves, so there won't be much of a fall here as far as color goes. And the biggest shame is we hit a high of 95 and everyone thought we had a cool front. Again today it will be a high of over 100, but we are keeping an eye on the disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico and praying it will bring a major rain event since we also are in the worst drought since the dust bowl of the 1930's.

57 degrees F at my house this morning. Probably will ride with knee warmers tomorrow as it takes awhile for us old folks to warm up for the 31mph thru the Marina.

Thank you throttleup
We hope we get some rain here too ourselves, but the forecasters keep saying we have a heat wall up due to the drought so hopefully we will get a break from this heat as well.

catacyrus,
Sorry we kept all the rain here in Louisiana. Most predictions for the next week, however, have a real cool front coming through Texas. While it will be unfortuanately dry, it could drop HIGH temps into the mid 80s. That should at least help your A/C bill a little.

It is currently 90 degrees and 2 in the afternoon with a wonderful breeze blowing from TS Lee, but a cool front would be great!!

Mid 60's today, with low 40's tonight. Early for this, but not unheard of. The week will warm later if the forcast is at all correct. Leaves are turning, this is early for that by approx 2 weeks.

Around 40 miles north of London here. Daily highs of ~16*C with nightly lows of ~11*C over the last few days. The weather took a decidedly autumnal turn over the weekend and trees are starting to turn a few weeks early. There's a bumper crop of berries ripening up, very early too!

It was the hottest summer since the records began in the early 1800s in Helsinki Kaisaniemi, and 2C over the long-time averages for the whole country, which happens 3-4 times in a century. One would still not know it's a Nordic autumn, were it not for some of the birches.
