For what it is worth, it just snowed at sea level in Hobart. Apparently 9 years since it last happened.

I don't agree with him about the LIA being regional. There is too much proxy data showing it was global. NO, it wasn't cold everywhere all the time, but the cold areas were larger than the warm areas as a general rule. Even today, folks get mixed up in regards to warming/cooling. The USA has not warmed, in fact, it has cooled in the past 150 years. But we are a small part of the whole picture. Areas experience warm temperatures, and the sky is falling. Even tho this is weather, not climate. And that pesky magnetic field data that AGW folks want to totally ignore. A lot more going on that most want to admit. Another thing they forget is that besides the global cooling it also lead to much more unstable weather with extremes at both ends which included heatwaves, drought and flooding. So even if not all areas experienced cooling, other areas might have experienced severe droughts or even heatwaves which also killed alot of people and ruined crops. Such a event would be global and would cause alot of havoc even in todays world. Even if you lived in a place where you were not directly affected, you sure would be affected by the skyrocketing food prices due to failed crops as most countries today are dependent on import to feed their people.

the regional LIA is the last stand to try and kill it by the CAGW crowd. Regarding heatwaves etc during warm and cold periods why would there not be hot or cold days when the average is 1.5C different. a hot day is 35C plus or minus 1.5C is academic.
the same goes in winter look at Western Europe the last few years have seen probably 10C variation in the winter regional temps, 1.5C would be sunk in the noise, but critically not the average for the planet.

With the blob looking to go nowhere fast how is the Pacific NW supposed to see cold??? Like last year the U.S. will probably see an east/west split with a cold NE and mild NW.

Its funny, there are papers from years ago that state a product of reduced solar activity is a southerly shift in the jet stream... But now it appears to be the case its not because of that but global warming.....
