That looks rather clement Ratty, sorry to see Wednesday will be so cold. But then my air con is set to come on at 30C so perhaps I am biased We can't afford airconditioning and, with the way power charges are rising, soon won't be able to afford food. What would you use food for? Couldn't Cook it.

Pretty soon politicians are going to be on the stir fry list. Could start your own business ... call it the PolySci Fry.

Interesting confirmation of Theo's forecast on a post to a thread on WUWT pointing out the shenanigans that NASA employs to try to claim things are 'warming'. "Fig. 12 shows that the well documented 60-year temperature cycle coincidentally also peaks at about 2003.Looking at the shorter 60+/- year wavelength modulation of the millennial trend, the most straightforward hypothesis is that the cooling trends from 2003 forward will simply be a mirror image of the recent rising trends. This is illustrated by the green curve in Fig. 12, which shows cooling until 2038, slight warming to 2073 and then cooling to the end of the century, by which time almost all of the 20th century warming will have been reversed.”"Norman Page's post is an interesting read as is his blog. wattsupwiththat.com/2017/09/26/gavins-twitter-trick/#comment-2621239

It's a great crime, and will be seen so in the near future as the realities of global cooling become all too real and obvious for even the most dense.

[ Snip ] The fact is that most of the climate centers, including those within NASA, have had nothing but 'man-made global warming' ideology running things into the ground for more than 20 years. It's a great crime, and will be seen so in the near future as the realities of global cooling become all too real and obvious for even the most dense. They probably won't feel the cold. Good to see you're still about, Astro.

I am alarmed! I don't like cold Winters! Speaking of Iceland, there was an interesting magazine segment on local radio this morning.

"September NH temps almost erased a three-month climb; even so 9/2017 is well below the previous two years. Meanwhile SH and the Tropics are setting new lows for this period. With current reports from the El Nino 3.4 grid sector, it seems likely October will go even lower, with downward moves across all oceans." wattsupwiththat.com/2017/10/28/inconvenient-oceans-continue-to-cool/

From WUWT and "Looks like claims of the “hottest year ever” won’t be happening in 2017, and we may see a return of “the pause” soon."wattsupwiththat.com/2017/11/01/global-temperature-continues-to-cool/I think that the post misses the main point each successive El Nino since 1997 has seen a step up in 'average global temperature' (if there is such a beast). In this case the temperatures have fallen back to where they were at the start if not slightly lower and may still be dropping.
