as it gets wetter you should also buy her a lawn mower for her next birthday.
That will be as popular as a fishing boat for her Xmas.

I'm investigating a self-propelled mower but many of them have the North American arrangement where you have to adjust the height of each wheel separately !! If I fail to find a suitable mower, I'll buy her a new chainsaw. That should stand me in good stead.

Nearby hills received about 60mm in an hour. At least it took several hours for my garden to receive that!! Saved many hours of watering for my desperately dry patch, but the temperature and humidity in Melbourne felt like North Queensland on a good day in Summer. i.e. Not Nice!! [My air cons were on for 36 hours continuously] When someone invented the expression for Queensland "beautiful one day, perfect the next", they were telling porkies. You're just jealous ..... Bottom of the south island west coast of New Zealand it has been very wet this year so far and today was forecast for snow in the mountains and frosts inland. We have averaged 90mm of rain every month since August and my garden is not growing well at all.

It will be easier to bury you in all them pieces. in good stead of a lawn mower, which could have chopped up the pieces. In good stead of a boat, which could have buried them at sea. We have all the makings of a first class movie ... Mr and Mrs Ratty or the man who gave his wife too much.

Excellent. I will be in the audience and play one of those "know too much" critics. My bow tie will have red polka dots and match my boxer shorts.

The snow makes groaning sounds this morning. The sun is shining, but my passive solar isn't working. Hark I say! I have to build it.
Might see above 0F by the weekend.

Here in Santa Maria, so far this season (July 1st to present) the rainfall has been slightly above normal and more rain is on the way for the next couple of weeks.

Quite interesting that the El Nino ended and it was assumed that California would lapse into a further run of dry weather its not happening same in Australia wetter than a wet thing down there.
It all looks a bit different from the predictions.
Not a pep out of the MSM about the forecast fails.
I am beginning to think that maybe the left field predictions may have some real basis. Arctic ice would as GW has predicted fall to record lows in the coming months its all set up for that what if that fails to occur, I think trouble for all.

Shows you just how much our brilliant climate scientists know. Problem is they won't (can't?) admit it. I use 'they' to refer the controlling AGW base and their minions. If they actually admit that they lack (hmm, errrr, long swallow) the knowledge to understand 'what the hell is going on', someone(s) might actually begin to establish some useful theses and test them. Seems I heard that somewhere before. Now is the time. There will be no better testing period. Let competing theses run wild and compete in the world of heavy mortality. Best of luck to the survivors! Wonder if Dr. Curry thinks it's possible and what it would take (short of illegal activities).

Maybe we will see some funding made available to explore alternative theses & hypotheses sometime in the near future?

I know what you mean it got to 30 o in my living room too ...... we usually use Fahrenheit though and 85F is when our air con kicks in.

I so love those organic burners. You can feel it making the world better.
Mine pumps out 18Kw on dry hardwood we control the winter room temperature with the doors because we are prohibited from damping the units due to some silly new law. Smog driven.
let them hills grow more wood.
