In preparation for your new thread on agricultural production in 2017 and beyond (I'm sure you'll have one ), have you found any direct links to crop production data by crop, by year, by small or medium-sized geographic area for US (county / state) and Canada (provinces and census subdivisions). I'd like to accumulate a data base that can be compared to weather, past and present ... select a few target areas as representative of larger areas and monitor the results. I'm sure that proprietary data bases exist for those that bet on futures, but they are not likely to share for free. You are my first source before 'digging' ... I'm lazy.
