Maybe we can still go skiing in the Sierra Nevadas in May or June to ski on their new glaciers. Wolf Creek Colorado got a little more snow than normal this year. But nothing like that. Here in Tulsa, the rain storms have been getting to within about 40 miles west and then drying out. Many 100% chance of rain predictions have yielded zero rain. No big rains but we have had enough light rains since last fall.

Yes, that one I can see That place looks like Mars lol Walnut, I personally have trekked in places like that. Your comment will not win friends and influence people here in Oz. Do not feel the need to apologise to our entire nation. Diplomatic relations may not be affected. Should you wish to re-visit, double check your visa before boarding.

In fairness to Australia, I saw and photographed some of the most strikingly beautiful landscapes while I was there. Different, sometimes very lush, sometimes ancient looking. And my own state of Oklahoma, USA has some of the most generally boring scenery I think you will find anywhere.

PS: Apart from cityscapes, there is no boring scenery, Walnut. It's ever changing. One of our poets wrote the words " I see the vision splendid of the sunlit plains extended". I see the same whenever we travel this wide brown land. It would be the same in America, I feel sure. Drive over a rise and a whole new experience welcomes you. True?

I agree completely. Nothing is boring. I'll say also, The prettiest large city that I have seen in North Sydney, especially around the inlets of the ocean. San Francisco and Los Angeles do not quite match up. I have not been to San Diego. I have seen Seattle and Vancouver. Traffic chaos, real estate prices astronomical, crime, homelessness, poverty, etc. Just like all big cities. It's plenty bad enough here on the Gold Coast with only 600,000. Check your messages.
