We are back to winter in ND. Highs in the low 70's, and lows in the low 50's. Our mean temp is setting cold records, and our weather is showing it. Record snowfalls, and record rains. Gosh, I pine for the old days when it was still warm.

Gosh, I pine for the old days when it was still warm. You must be wrong about the temperatures - SoCold produced a graph showing how much warmer everywhere was. He'll probably have a similar graph showing how well farmers are doing this year with such a short extended growing period.

Well, in ND we sure aren't warm, nor in the Canadian Provinces are they warm. In fact, seems to me that Churchill has been kinda cold as well. And that isn't even including NZ, Aussie, gosh........where are those warm spots again? IF someone says this is a warm summer NH/ warm winter SH, they are full of it. And I am serious, you can only cook the temp record so much. (Tongue in cheek)

Yippee summer has come to the UK at last after 2.75 years!!!
Yesterday was the hottest day since September 2006 (yes 2006!!!).
So it shows how bad the last two summers were.
My tomatoes and cucumbers are growing great (despite a bad start for the tomatoes).
Lots of strawberries to watch wimbledon and no rain!!!
Looks like it will go down hill on Thursday/Friday this is the UK after all ;D

As was predicted back in March, we are having a cool summer, the rain was unexpected though - ten inches in June. Our garden is very green and the plants are growing great, but... very few blossoms. Our tomato plants are four feet high but no flowers to speak of. If I was a tomato farmer, I would be worried. Same goes with our squash and cucumbers. If farmers are experiencing this same condition, and they must be, food prices are bound to go up - supply and demand. I have been growing a garden for the last twenty years and this is by far the best looking garden I have had but worst in the production of food.

Why make stuff up? solarcycle24com.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=globalwarming&action=display&thread=187&page=15#22535See your post - I have no need to make stuff up. According to you everywhere is warmer apart from 'cherry picked' Northern Canada.

You claimed I had said it was warmer everywhere. Now you are saying "everywhere except Canada"
But I didn't even say that. Quite clearly on the map I posted there are a number of places cooler than "normal".
Furthermore you said it to imply I had disagreed with sigurdur's comments on ND being cold. Yet he made his "We are back to winter in ND" comment on June 28th while the map I posted was clearly marked May 2009. So in no shape or form did I claim he was wrong.
But this is how the skeptic rumors start and spread. Next it'll be "Remember when socold predicted there would be heatwaves in ND by now". Perhaps you can get Chris Booker to post something along those lines.

Spent a week on Adriatic coast, with temps reaching pleasant 25C max. Warm April, May half-half and relatively cold June here. Up to now, we had only several days hitting 30C here. I will not object some king of Damon minimum.

Finally getting some summer here in Anchorage, after a couple years hiatus. After only reaching 70 degrees twice last summer, we have hit 80 twice this week, with one of them, 82, being the record high for the day!
WHOO HOOO!!!
Now, of course, its warm during the day, but its too freakin hot at night. Coupled with the smoke from the fires, not so pleasant.
