I downloaded it from Amazon...quite a while ago, would have to 're-read to offer any thoughts, but Amazon is a safe bet.

UAH for September, +0.14°c, down from Augusts +0.19.
Not a classic 'post Nino plunge' still however.....

I reckon it'll probably hold at a 2000-2018 average until a Nino, or perhaps a (strong) Nino push it.

True, still seeing quite alot of statements like " as cold as the 80's". Strikes me as a sort of reverse alarmism, yes the temps are the same, but comparing a peak to a trough??

Do you suppose that in a declining radiation condition, the oceans continue to shed stored heat until a new equilibrium is reached? That 2015-16 lower troposphere event appears to be easing its way down rather than crashing. Maybe as Astro said ... not an el nino by his definition. Whatever that exactly is.

Coldest September in over 10 years. Is this 2008-09, or the year after? Big Joe's preferred analog seems to be 2002-03(?), which wasn't very cold around here. The late 70s were the coldest and snowiest years here in Middle Earth. The Censors obviously didn't get to this guy quick enough. Goog luck up there. I know. I know you guys live for this stuff. I'm slowly migrating southward.

The annual deviations are very striking Missouri! I don't live for the cold, I want to head south after this winter and plunder.

‘I can’t imagine what suicidal instincts reside in Australia’s political class.’
‘In asking me to comment on the Australian response, you are asking the wrong person. You need to speak to someone specializing in abnormal psychology.’
