WOW!!!! Chicken Little is carrying an AK, a climate model, a bad history book and a damn poor attitude. "the latest wave of warmth issuing from a human-driven shift toward climatological hell appears to be on schedule to arrive at the North Pole by Wednesday... And it all just reeks of a human-forced warming of the Earth’s climate" Such drama ... such poetic license ... such ?? ... well ... verbage escapes me. Shall I shoot myself now ... or wait for the day after tomorrow??? But ... it does appear to be a pretty impressive storm.

You have angered the Gods by your sins! - Repent! repent!!" Doesn't it. I wonder if the author realizes?"

About this 'shedding of heat' thing. So we have the whole depth of the atmosphere flooding north. How is the R.H. of that air compared with the R.H. over the pole? It took less than 3 days to run from well south of the Canaries all the way to 90N so not really much time for much modification as it traveled and seeing as Svalbard is currently seeing drizzle I'd say it's still pretty moisture packed?
I'd be concerned that we will see thick ,atmosphere depth, cloud push through the pole limiting the speed that heat is lost to space and plenty of time for the amazing heat to show impact across a third of the pole.
I've only 48 years of weather watching ( before 5 it didn't seem to matter to me that much!) but over that short span I do not recall any similar events?
And of course this is only the start of things...... or so they tell us.......

The History was a verbal history, as much as the Historian could find from the folks he interviewed. This is NOT the 1st time that the Arctic has been warm in winter. As far as heat escaping. The Trop is so thin in the Arctic, that even with cloud cover it is a barn door open this time of year. Is this a big storm? Ya betcha. Is this the 1st storm of this magnitude to have happened? Naw, it isn't.

Did anyone actually find a buoy that went above 0C? Climate gang claimed they had one, but the data is not there for the buoy they claimed went above 0C.
That's not saying there isn't one, I just can't find it and have given up looking. Other more important things to do.

If you've had a good stab at it, and it's that hard to find, I think it's fair enough to call it junk. If the temp rise is that localised, it can hardly be called significant....
