Well, he didn't charge us. That's bull. Your turn .... Agreed. But some bull packs a bigger wallop. And sometimes the bull wins.

The La Niña I forecast here over 10 years ago for this time into 2021 is now with us, and it will continue into 2022 as well (despite some agencies saying that it will not.)
Here's been my call about what is to come climate-wise:
Going into March and April most of the conventional organizations will confuse the natural warm-up I've predicted for spring and summer 2021 an claim that La Nina is over.
Believe me, it is not.
What is going to happen is that La Nina will be back up (see the observations as early as Sept.-Oct. 2021, and powerfully impact the winter and spring of 2022. It will be a horrendously cold, snowy and icy winter lasting in most regions 4 to 5 months extending from early Nov. 2021 to May 2022.
The worst La Niña global cooling climate & weather of winter/spring 2022 will be from January 2022 to April 2022. There will be no traditional spring in 2022, as most regions in the northern hemisphere will go from winter 2022 to summer 2022 due to the length and strength of winter 2022.
I caution those reading this not to take next winter/spring 2022 lightly. Use the spring and summer of 2021 to prepare for the winter/spring of 2022 which will see ungodly amounts of precipitation kept frozen for longer lengths of time by persistent subzero cold temperatures and very stormy weather. Everything winter 2022 can bring, it is going to unleash. Be prepared.

Astro, As you may recall from my previous posts I follow your forecasts very closely. I too am awaiting the "big cool" here in the UK. We await the winter of 2021/22 with great interest. From the above post I see you are still very confident of your forecast. Despite claims from most conventional forecasters that the La Nina is coming to an end!
Can we expect a similar cold winter in the UK?

It's already been there Neil, and as for winter/spring 2022, you won't have to wait for long. As for my forecasts, I am always confident, as hard work is proof in the pudding.

Froze my butt off for the last two weeks, but the power stayed up ... unlike Texas where they aren't much used to this. Nice warmup coming which is already melting the snow cover. The birds have been flocking to the seeds we leave out for them. Even with highs in the 40s forecast through the end of the month, February 2021 may still be the 7th coldest February in our 131-year record. Coldest since the 1970s. We've been hearing that a lot. Keep up the good work.

It did not freeze this morning at my casa! So things are looking up. In addition the price of electricity is back down and things are getting back to normal after the coldest arctic invasion since 1989. I can't move much further south and still stay in the U.S. so I guess I better adapt.

Glen you could always go right a little then down - Florida did not get the freeze (this time) and whereas Texas is full of Californians we are full of expat New Yorkers. Same number of hurricanes although we can get them from both sides. Florida power companies do not have the same variable rate approach so there is a level of consistency in the charging.

Nautonier, My wife loves the panhandle of Florida and we vacation quite often there in Sea Grove just east of Destin. The beaches there are pristine. And if I have to pick between mostly liberal expat New Yorkers and crazy liberal expat Californian's you could just flip a coin. Liberal is liberal and I don't want to live near them... Neither Florida or Texas have a state income tax so that is a draw. But the one thing I can't deal with in Florida is the traffic. It seems you can't get anywhere in that state without getting stuck in it. So while I could go further south there and avoid some of the bad winters we have every 30 years or so, I think I will stay in Texas. With that being said if I could go back in time I would love to be born in Key West in about 1946 when it was a quaint fishing island. Re-live my life as a lobster or stone crab fisherman!
