[ Snip ] Then its totally insane having 2 agencies designated as responsible agencies, one at the state level and the other at the federal level. Then you have competition for relevancy, assuring overkill. True in the US, true in Oz. Will Trump live long enough to clean out the warrens? The standard procedure of attrition (not filling vacancies) can take a long time ... and in the mean time, the more employable elements of the civil service move on to other employment ... leaving mostly the non-motivated and uninspired. Less dangerous it's true, but still a drain until they die. Trump may need to do some surgical extractions ... mass eliminations of multiple agencies. Then they might actually be able to let people go. Let the states work and eliminate the duplication. They don't need baby sitters. They are perfectly capable of carving out little administrative empires by themselves.

They are perfectly capable of carving out little administrative empires by themselves. Well according to OPM the average length of service of federal employees is 13.7 years. Thus natural attrition equals a bit more than 7 1/4% per year. Thus conceivably by that means alone attrition could be 58% in 8 years. That would reduce the 2,000,000 civil service workforce to under 850,000. Not a bad start, but its a lot of jobs to make up. Nice challenge! Non-productive jobs for productive jobs. But what usually happens is exceptions start getting made.

Five years ago, a conservative government (LNP) was elected in Queensland and immediately set about culling the (bloated) public service. The LNP had a massive majority in our unicameral house, 78 of the 89 seats.
In 2015, the LNP lost power narrowly to Labor (= Democrats).
Could be a lesson there somewhere?

They can remain federal employees but will be monitoring a sewage farm in Little Podunk and other exciting job opportunities for PhD greens. If they stay the office will have no phones, no WiFi or Cellphone reception, and no restaurant and office furniture will be to the new ergonomic wooden chair standard. The security policy will require that they carry no electronics into the building. There are ways to do these things.

None of the Democrats have claimed that any of the 'wiki leaks' emails were invented. So we have the Russians to thank for giving We The People the unvarnished truth. The comment made by Wiki Leaks on Donald Trump was interesting, yes they had got some of his emails but he only said in them what he said in public. So Mr Trump may be the first WYSIWYG President.

Anyhow, I think that she is.

Oh, I admit that I do not like her. Anyhow, I think that she is. Her sexuality is irrelevant. Her ideas of issues of importance is all screwed up.
