And It Begins (continues) ... by the time this is over, NYC may be worth its original price. ‘Last one out, turn out the lights’: New Hampshire governor says higher taxes prompting urban flightwww.cnbc.com/2020/08/10/new-hampshire-governor-sununu-says-high-taxes-prompting-urban-flight.htmlThought I should talk to the mayor about promoting Columbia as a great location for the new work at home professional ... but on second thought, I'm having some doubts about whether we really want to attract that kind of Yankee. We need "standards". Do you think we could sell it back to the Indians and get the $24 of beads back?

"The Ninth Circuit, which is the most far-left and most frequently overruled federal appellate court in America, finally produced a decision that is in line with the Constitution. A three-judge panel held that California’s ban on high-capacity magazines violated citizens’ rights under the Second Amendment to keep and bear arms.
Presidents Trump and George W. Bush appointed the two judges who ruled against the ban and in favor of the Constitution. The dissenting judge, a district court judge sitting by assignment, is a Clinton appointee."More here:> www.americanthinker.com/blog/2020/08/the_ninth_circuit_issues_a_blockbuster_second_amendment_decision.html

This election is very important. If a government is elected whose goal is to disarm the American People, then, by definition, that means civil war. BECAUSE WE WILL NOT COMPLY. And they do not have a large enough army to make us. Molon Labe.

Pace Ratty The USA is not Australia The bill of rights lists rights that are fundamental rights from the creator and no mere politician may infringe them I agree. The bulk of democrats don't. A large share of those who've graduated from the public school system have never actually *read* the US Constitution. So they believe it says what they're told it says. You can't protect a right you don't know you have.

There should be a "paler-skin" version of "Uncle Tom" in the "Albionic" slang. What is it?

There should be a "paler-skin" version of "Uncle Tom" in the "Albionic" slang. What is it? It has only recently gained any currency but "cultural appropriation" doesn't have the same ring but it is certainly used a lot.

The founders had a go at this by putting age limits on the President. The idea was that by that (for the time) advanced years would have a background of work. The UK parliament hours used to be from mid-afternoon to 10pm at night or later, as it was expected that being a member of parliament was not your job, it was what you did after your normal work day. The problem these days is that it is possible to go to university and study politics, join the office of a politician, stand for a political office and remain in that office until way past what would be normal retirement. The result is that you are closer to the other politicians than you are to people in what should be your constituency. The US congress makes this worse by not only paying well but providing a pension and medical cover for life. It is precisely the same in the EU where net pay is more than gross pay as 'allowances' are greater than the agreed 'tax' EUrocrats pay 6% tax So the only way to prevent the government politicians losing touch with the 'common people' is to have strong term limit enforcement and that is a total score of years as a politician over the politicians' lives. So the 4 years as a local assemblyman counts toward your say 8 years total. Politics should not be considered a 'job' it should be considered as being in service of your constituents/country. So the politician - say a member of congress - will get allowances not pay for accommodation, food, travel all overt and should be allowed to continue being paid by their original job. As we can see congressmen being paid ~$190K pa become millionaires after 4 years in DC - something is not right and palms are being greased - perhaps payments to them above their original salary and congressional allowances must be publicly declared or taxed at 120%. Unfortunately, this is all asking turkeys to vote for Thanksgiving.
