Relatively little here as well given the scale of local destruction. The media mob is restrained by the fact that there appears to be nothing to blame Trump for ... YET. As a group, they don't seem to be motivated to engage in simple acts of Christian charity that could make a real difference. Perhaps I'm missing something. The US Coast Guard and British Royal Navy appear to be quietly delivering aid and support ... with little news coverage. Perhaps AOC will show up and show them how it's done.

To put Bahamas and Dorian into perspective.... Pardon my computer illiteracy, Mr. Naut, but do you know why I haven't been able to see your links for the last week or so?

To put Bahamas and Dorian into perspective.... Pardon my computer illiteracy, Mr. Naut, but do you know why I haven't been able to see your links for the last week or so? I don't know. I have had similar problems with some browsers. I use firefox and variants of it that seem to show the linked graphics well. There is a rather tedious way of accessing them if you 'quote' the message you will see the link in the quoted text and can use that. I think it may be a quirk of proboards link handling. Has anyone else got any better ideas?

I use Firefox, and with content blocking "on," the twitter posts do not show. I left click the icons at the left end of the URL address bar (an "i" and a shield) and select "Turn off blocking temporarily." The page automatically reloads and the content shows.

Faites vos jeux, Phydeaux! My bet is on it going up the east coast, on a path remarkably similar to Dorian, but with more forward speed!

And the disturbance following it will do the same. GOM storms this year will be "homegrown" spinoffs from fronts moving off the coast. Maybe second week of october.
