Flea and Acid - you may want to get something in that is warming for next week - both liquid and perhaps curries or chilies. Looks like it will be somewhat blowy and parky. Yep...thats that westbound low from my early posts, except it doesn't look like its going west much anymore!

It changes every run of GFS, no real consistency. At this range we may end up with fog.

We have our share of fog in places like Michigan, which starts out as witches' breath. Witch Busters out of Salem, MA are said to have techniques which quell such things.

There are also a fair number of areas where the upper winds are going across the ITCZ which I haven't seen so much of before.

This structure has to break at some point, I envisage a southerly tract jet with cold where it used to be.
Doubt a persistent state...

Semi-persistent states may occur when the energy gradient reaches either a warmer or colder equilibrium. In between it's a carnival ride. The slide is underway. Enjoy the ride.

Personal shout out and thank you to Astro. www.noaa.gov/media-release/us-winter-outlook-cooler-north-warmer-south-with-ongoing-la-ninaI had been talking with top people at the Summit about the potential for snow this coming ski season way back at the start of the year. Nothing to deep as I didn't want to stick my foot in my mouth but I was mentioning the small changes we all have been discussing and today with this news from NOAA I have risen unto the ranks of a Demi-God. Thank you Theo. Good to be King.

Wow, just saw a massive squadron of geese heading south. I managed to run back inside and snap a pic of one of the flocks, totally fantastic. I saw them 3 weeks ago. They were early, which the current temperature scheme confirms they were smart to go south!
