That does it - everyone OUT of this thread and over to the Winter thread. C'mon, move it! :-) Two-three inches of snow here. Hard freeze last night. My Zinnias have all died. And I held a memorial. The butterflies and hummingbirds disappeared a week or so ago. I think that they may be better omens than bird entrails ... but as long as grants follow bird guts, forecasters will have slimey fingers. Not the absolute earliest snowfall in our record ... 1907 and 1919 were slightly more and the low temps appear in the bottom 3%(?). I will now abandon Autumn 2020, as it has abandoned me.

And we will have a hurricane strike the coast tomorrow in Mississippi, followed the next day by highs in the mid 60s F. Well, at least I won't need my air conditioner when the power goes out!

Oh MB the illusion of input. We are just ornaments on the mantelpiece of time. Zinnias?! I want zinnias on my little portion of the mantelpiece of time. Butterflies and hummingbirds love them. Usually the last piece of summer to the first hard frost. Father Frost done killed my zinnias before their time.
