The new subject line says it all. The reports out say 2 PM EST but I would be suspicious of a time so late in the day.
Also on April 14 GOES 13 will be activated and assume the duties of GOES 12 monitoring weather for most of the United States, the Carribean and the North American Eastern Seaboard. Once that task is completed GOES 12 will be moved eastward into the Western Atlantic where it will monitor weather over South America and Hurricaine formation off the west coast of Africa.

So you are saying GOES is going? I don't know how you mean that Maggie. At this moment GOES 13 is in "Hot Standby" ready to move in to fill a void left by a failure of any of the current GOES System of satellites. GOES 14 is considered a "spare" and would be placed into "Hot Standby" if GOES 13 is activated. GOES 15 is undergoing post launch checkout which will not be completed until late this summer after which it will be stored as a "spare".

Well aside from the fact that it was meant to be humorous, you said: [/i][/ul] Hence the GOES is going. Really, if you have to explain a joke... I'm glad I taught my boys the value of good sarcasm. Life is just no fun without it.

Very little in the way of the SDO Program Schedule including when and how data will be presented on it's websites.

At the SDO PR event one of the scientist said they had disproved at least one theory about our sun. Anyone know what this was about?
