Um, sorry to interrupt, but that crazy woman video that bxs linked in #35, is that really shown in schools !?! I don't know about schools for a fact, but a lot of PBS shows are educational and factual(NOVA does talk about theories, but they do present facts, and make a clear distinction). So when I saw a part of it on PBS, (the part about obsolesence), didn't watch the rest, when it came up i quoted the transcript. Till SLH said something that caused me to check my references, so i found the original video, and wanted to slap myself for using its author as a reference. So i did more diging, and found the de-bunker FOX interview, then went from there.

Well, i am trying to make us come back to the original topic of the thread.
this video is from the same guy that did the "story of stuff" debunk, i cant cut it apart to show only the stuff relevant to the thread, so you will have to bear with it...

Well, i am trying to make us come back to the original topic of the thread. FWIW, I start threads to spur conversation. If the conversation deviates from the initial topic, so be it.

In all seriousness (not an insult, a serious question), is this a cultural thing? I notice the tendency to jump to a conclusion (usually assuming the worst about a group of people determined to "keep us down"), then make accusations and assert it so strongly as a certain fact among a number of my colleagues of Russian Descent. I normally try to deal with people as individuals, but I do notice a trend sometimes, and this is one I seem to notice from among this group of colleagues. Maybe you can enlighten me about whether there is a cultural influence behind this. SLH, we should transfer this to the other thread in open forum. But to answer that, I have never seen a more honest, right on point observation about my compatriots, I am printing that out and framing it on my wall! Not being sarcastic either. There is definitely a cultural influence behind that, I'll go into that, in the other thread.

Everyone has common genes. After all, white, brown,or black, we are all descended from Eve. Which reminds me of the very wise woman who told me that just after God told Adam and Eve they must leave Eden and "earn their bread by the sweat of their brows," He gave the first Commandment. "You all go an play nicely together now." And of course that was not only the first Commandment broken but the one that has been broken the most frequently. Stranger *only quoted for the God reference* Pope denounces failure to forge new climate treaty:www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34801276/I say we all get in on this, write a "Newer Testament" book 4 in the series if you will. SLH said I sounded Messianic in one of my posts, so you know I got potential, with that I got dibbs on the savior position. Apostle positions are still up for grabs, we are also going to need to fill the position of a Judas equivalent. Many more positions with cool titles are also open.
