"The very idea that mankind can make significant parametric changes to the Earth has to be the height of arrogance"
That sentence shows which side is religion. A dogma that AGW must be wrong because the author believes God or Nature is too big for humans to have any effect.
And if I had a buck for every silly article that first starts out with a poor attempt to sound reasonable (in this case "No one denies that the Earth's temperature changes") and then denies something fundamental ("Humans contribute approximately 3.4 percent of annual C02 levels compared to 96.6 percent by nature"), I would be very rich.

Genuflecting they go to worship at Copenhagen. Promising tithes of others. The new wave in their state paid jets received by limos socold stands cheering the procession. The numbers have been certified by Englands CRU. The met office cheers at each new record high. Amidst all of the pageantry schools are closed and flights canceled to honor the snow that was never expected to be seen again. All is well in the kingdom of AGW born in East Anglia and still worshiped on the Isle.

Could anyone tell me if it monotheistic or that we have multiple godheads? Do we have names for our gods? Do we pray/seek forgiveness from them/it? We're in deep schtutck and I need to seek absolution, which way should I turn and who should I ask?

Oh, the Great Goddes Libera will do - until the regressive "progressives" find another deity.
You know the lady. She arose in a working class "journeymans' taverna, Madrid's el libre cabeza.
Not "free head" as you might think, but "empty head" from the strength of the tipple. And the depth of the hangover.
And libre cabeza has been a very good description of the Lady's followers ever since.

If so, can you tell me whether it is monotheistic or polytheistic, or has multiple godheads (a concept separate from polytheism)? Can you tell me the name of the Buddhist gods? So then, does a religion necessarily have a god or gods?

I think this writer is the sort of person that Ed Miliband and Gordon Brown were referring to when they talked about "behind-the-times, anti-science, flat-earth climate sceptics"
