So GLC Are you now a skeptic?
Apparently the correct description is a "lukewarmer".
In summary: Increased CO2 will inevitably cause some warming. There are good scientific reasons for this. This is a position supported by most 'skeptical (or sceptical) scientists'. However, I'm not convinced by the large positive feedback effect suggested by the AGW proponents.
In his paper, Richard Lindzen's proposes a climate sensitivity of ~0.6 deg per CO2 doubing which suggests he believes any feedback is actually negative. This might be a bit optimistic but worth consideration nonetheless.

I would highly recommend Ian Plimer's book "Heaven and Earth: global warming the missing science" Plimer is a professor of School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, University of Adelaide". Plimer has published 120 papers, written 6 books for the public and won three awards for science writing. There are 2300 scientific papers referenced in the book (at the bottom of each page making it easy to connect what is stated in the book to the paper.) Copies of many of the papers referenced are available on the internet. The book has 500 pages of detailed explanation of all of the topics that are discussed in this forum. Ocean chemistry & levels. Atmospheric evolution and chemistry. Solar physics, solar cycle variation, solar cloud modulation. Volcanism and super volcanoes. CO2 levels current and geological. Carbon cycle. Atmospheric physics and evolution. Holocene climate. Climate in the geological past. Geological history of the planet. Temperature measurement and changes in the 20th century and in the last 2000 years, last 100,000 years, last 1 million years. The book is written at a first year college level. It is a first rate science book not a rant about global warming, written by a person with an agenda. When the science is not resolved, Plimer presents the data and then critically explains the different hypotheses. When the science is not in question, Plimer provides a succinct summary of the science at a first year college level. Plimer has a deep understanding of the multi-discipline science concerning this issue and is a first rate science writer. Plimer avoids debating the IPCC position until the last and shortest chapter (60 pages) in the book. www.amazon.com/Heaven-Earth-Warming-Missing-Science/dp/1589794729/ref=ed_oe_pThe book in paper back is less than $15.

William, thank you. I haven't gone to that site often in the past, but the link you provided has very interesting information in it.
