Wifey literally bought me the t shirt for x mas....house of stark, wolf, winter is coming... It's rare to be able to wear something that so completely covers two passions (obsessions?) At once! Have you accepted the possibility code? I assumed you were a bit, er. ..cool on the idea? ?

Slowly shaking head.
OK, that went over my head. I hope it doesn't bounce of the ceiling.

The characters mostly....wait for it....want the throne, of westeros. Overiding these seemingly significant concerns, a periodic deep cold is building in 'the north' which is defended by a massive ice wall. There are supernatural beings north of the wall. Hence 'winter is coming'. This winter in our relative seasons would be a multi century event. George r r Martin has been writing for science fiction mags in the us since the 70's, in 1996 he published his first in the 'game of throne' series...currently 6 books in... Highly recommended, popular but deservedly so..Most likely one of the memorable literary outputs of the last 20 or so years....

;)Gosh, one would have to pay for it to watch it, so Game of Thrones will remain a literary mystery to me. I have Netflix, and looked up to see if it was on there. Netflix and HBO seem to be at loggerheads, so Netflix will potentially never have Game of Thrones. If I win the lottery, I will buy the box set and watch it. But 1st, I would have to buy a lottery ticket. Times are tough.

Silly me, since I'm a SciFi affectionado ... owning at least a hundred anthologies. Asked my teenager the same question and he looked at me like I just wandered in out of the Amazon. OK .... I'll have to check it out. And I thought it was kinda like a tenth century version of keeping up with the Kardasians' bathroom appliances.

Code: Nope, have not watched. Don't have cable tv, and still don't have an antenna hooked up. We do have netflix now, but I see it isn't on Netflix.
I watched the clip, looks like an interesting show. The Dragons were the best!
Maybe if soybeans go to $20.00 a bushel, and I have a crop, I could afford the $60 a month for cable. Wishful thinking eh?
