Mr. Green having solved the energy crisis (just skyrocket the prices), solved global warming (just skyrocket energy prices), solved employment (just take 1.2 million people off the roles) will now solve population control (takes on the Catholic Church).

Not sure what your point is here. We dont live in zero gravity. My point was that because of convection the area of the atmosphere we live in is generally much cooler than it would otherwise be. We cannot say convection has a little bit of influence on the atmosphere. Correct, where we live there is gravity. Convection is a function of gravity and effects all gases under its influence. Convection is the transport mechanism for heat to move from lower positions in the atmosphere to higher positions in the atmosphere. Convection has a lot of influence on our atmosphere.

Mr Green needs to send another envoy to China. "China bans airlines from joining EU emissions scheme" "(Reuters) - The Chinese government said on Monday it has barred the country's airlines from joining a European Union scheme to charge for carbon emissions from flights into and out of Europe and prohibit airlines from charging customers extra because of the EU plan. The hardening of the dispute, which comes a week before Chinese and EU leaders hold a summit next week, could potentially subject Chinese airlines to fines or prohibitions on use of EU airports. The aviation row also comes as euro zone countries have looked to China, with its big holdings of foreign exchange reserves, for a show of economic support while they grapple with the latest phase of their debt crisis." www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/06/us-china-eu-emissions-idUSTRE81500V20120206?feedType=RSS&feedName=environmentNews&rpc=22&sp=true

While sig has commented on this in politics. Warm here in U.S. not so warm in Europe. Were is the its no problem commentary now. "Tragic winter weather in Europe doesn’t fit the Mannian narrative" "The wailing (Jan 31st and again Feb 4th) was because the LA Times didn’t use the words “global warming” or “climate change” in a story about the mild winter in the USA. But Romm and Mann both ignore the much bigger story of a bitterly cold winter in Europe with snow reaching into northern Africa which has caused nearly three hundred deaths. Conversely, there doesn’t seem to be any deaths associated with the mild winter in the USA that Romm and Mann are wailing about. You can decide who’s committing “journalistic malpractice”." wattsupwiththat.com/2012/02/05/tragic-winter-weather-in-europe-doesnt-fit-the-mannian-narrative/

Gee, glad somebody is seeing the sun, did they mention Sydney is having its coldest summer in 15 years ?, and in my neck of the woods, lat 32S , 30 years, no maincrop tomatoes set, usually gathering now. Glad to see the sun today and not be rugged up at night in four layers of clothing at the PC. Thanks for the local update.

From the way back machine winter has been coming and going kind of yearly or something like that. I only note that snow is not a thing of the past.

It is all about how hot do you have to heat some of the air in the room to heat all of the room. As you heat the air it loses relative humidity. www.engineeringtoolbox.com/heating-humid-air-d_693.htmlWith for instance warmboards you heat more air less. magellan You are correct the materials are not cheap. But my wife and I did the complete install including the boiler and PEX al PEX. But I suspect in a couple of years a complete payback. I would be more precise but my mom was living with us and she liked it very warm. She has passed on and I have also made the changes so my heating costs are 1/4 of what they were. I also installed over the new section a 303 stainless roof with 4 low E skylights and all low E windows through out the house.
