A lot of time I just like the pictures. I do not like the reports of deaths do to hypothermia. "Colosseum closes and drivers abandon cars as snow falls on Rome for the first time in 26 YEARS Italian capital grinds to halt as severe weather halts traffic Locals shiver in tiled homes thanks to city's heating restrictions -36C temperatures across eastern Europe send death toll to 176 Military on alert in the UK as temperatures drop and snowfall is predicted Over 11,000 villagers in Serbia trapped by snowdrifts and blizzards Death toll in Ukraine now 122, with 38 people killed by cold last night" www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2096402/Rome-snow-Colosseum-closes-drivers-abandon-cars.html#ixzz1lSiuaxKh

ALBANY, N.Y. - According to new data released today by the Northeast Regional Climate Center at Cornell University, the winter of 2011-12 is, so far, among the warmest and least snowy on record. [/img]
And one of the most enjoyable.... trbixler: I don't mind seeing your posts at all, and I hope my response to glenn was not taken that way. Just as the warm winter in ND is not climate, altho, some, not on this board tho, are claiming that it is because of AGW.....
sig It was not. I believe in natural events as weather, volcanoes and earthquakes. I do not believe in AGW and catastrophe mongering. I also believe that our "climate" is driven by a local star we call the sun.

"Sea near Sandbanks freezes over in Dorset cold snap" "The severe cold has led to the sea freezing near to the coast in Dorset's Sandbanks resort. The AFC Bournemouth and Exeter City match on Saturday has been rescheduled for Tuesday as the pitch at the Seward Stadium is frozen. Dorset councils will send out gritting crews overnight as ice and snow is predicted by the Met Office. " www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-dorset-16889200

More made up stuff from BBC news "Heavy snow falling across much of UK" "Heavy snow is falling across much of the UK, disrupting flights and leading to calls for drivers to take more care. Snow hit southern Scotland and parts of Wales before moving south-east through England. Met Office severe weather warnings remain in place across the UK. Forecasters expect 5-10cm (2-4in) to fall in central, eastern and southern England, with freezing temperatures leaving icy roads on Sunday. BAA says one-third of Sunday's 1,200 or so flights from Heathrow are cancelled." www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16883674

Warmist have their wish. I make up news articles adjust the numbers, describe formula that no one can easily see the flaw and pronounce that we need to control CO2 because.... Oh excuse me its just winter weather. "Major snowstorm barrels down on Central Plains" "(Reuters) - A major winter storm that dumped two feet of snow on the Denver area marched eastward on Saturday, buffeting the Central Plains with heavy snowfall and wind gusts of 25 miles per hour. The snowstorm that pummeled eastern Colorado and western Nebraska on Friday - closing long stretches of Interstate 70 - moved into Nebraska, dropping roughly nine inches of snow on the Grand Island and Omaha areas, said National Weather Service Meteorologist Ken Harding. Forecasters expect roughly three more inches of snow in the area. The storm has targeted central and southwest Iowa, and is expected to drop up to 8 inches of snow through Saturday afternoon, Harding said. Officials issued a winter storm warning as far east as Des Moines and Ames, Iowa, Harding said, and travel is difficult along a corridor of Interstate 70 in western Kansas and all of Interstate 80 from western Nebraska through Des Moines, Iowa." www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/04/us-weather-snow-idUSTRE8130N020120204

There are those that suggest that I should not post pictures or text. Maybe winter has moved on, ah yes it is moving west. "European chill moves west and 122 die in Ukraine" "KIEV (Reuters) - Bitterly cold weather that has claimed hundreds of lives in eastern Europe swept westwards over the continent Saturday, blanketing Rome's Colosseum with snow for the first time in three decades and disrupting air and rail traffic. Russian gas exporter Gazprom said it was unable to meet increased European demand as it battles its own deep freeze, and had reduced supplies "for a few days" before returning them to normal levels." af.reuters.com/article/worldNews/idAFTRE8130N820120204

Unfortunately most people don't realize this CO2 clock is a fraud and find it difficult to understand that total CO2 concentration (natural and anthropogenic) represents a little less than four 100 ths of one percent. maybe they should be shown this as well: Lost the decimal point on the top graph? Or maybe lost 720,000 years?

They clearly haven't taken into account the impact of the crocodile population. Well seeing as how there is no refutation of the .045 mm per unit of SSN derived best fit match of SSN to sea level. Maybe you were referring to loss of alligators and mammals in Florida matched to AGW hockey sticks. Best fit to Python.

I have one area of my house heated with hot water running into a product called warmboards. The warmboards are 1 1/8 subfloor with aluminum covering the top surface. There is a grove for PEX AL PEX pipe in the top surface. The heated water is circulated in the PEX AL PEX pipe by in my case a Grundfos pump. The water heated b a Takagi flash boiler. It is very efficient.
On a different note I wonder if a glass thermometer is heated differently than a metallic sensor. Even though conduction has been discounted I believe both radiation and conduction do the job. While convection is just a transport mechanism. Same rules apply to the atmosphere.

All the heat jumps to the ceiling at once? Thermometers are heated only by radiation?

Well as this is winter watch (correct me if I am wrong) I post stuff about winter. This morning was a 3 layer day with Knee warmers. Did 30 miles some along the beach. Was spectacular with lots of sea birds on the beach and on the ocean. The climbs were very nice in Palos Verdes with Peacocks present near the golf course. A very typical Feb ride. Much like I have been doing for the past 30 years. No AGW BS just great Feb weather for Southern California where I have chosen to live. I marvel at people living in conditions either warmer or colder than PDR, their choice. Start of the racing season so my neighbors took their son to Boulevard road race so I road alone. Diego their son won two of two races weekend before last. Today is a 60mi RR with hills. When I used to do those races heat was always a big deal. For climbing give me some chill for descending maybe a prayer.

Finally some snow, I must hurry to get plane tickets as it is a thing of the past. Oh they canceled the flights. Guess I will have to ride my bike at the beach sea level has not overtaken the bike path yet. "Heavy Snowstorm Hits Colorado on Its Way East" "The most powerful storm of the winter season pounded Colorado and parts of neighboring states on Friday, creating whiteout conditions on the eastern plains, cancelling more than 600 flights in Denver and closing hundreds of miles of highway between major Colorado cities and the Kansas border. Snow piled up to 6 feet on some Rocky Mountain foothills — and it was a welcome boost to several ski resorts that have suffered below-average snowfall this season. But while Echo Mountain and other resorts close to Denver celebrated up to 40 inches of powder, the storm only dusted larger resorts, like Vail, with a few inches in central Colorado's Rockies. "It's been fantastic," said Scott Gales, a spokesman for Echo Mountain about 25 miles west of Denver. "We only had about 26 or 27 inches this morning. Now we're over 40 and it's still snowing at the rate of an inch or two an hour."" abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/stores-busy-colo-prepares-major-snowstorm-15504134#.TyyzsoGwUYw
