Have a look at the nullschool SSTA for the arctic. clearly we can only see the perimeter but its very cold. When I say cold I don't mean just average cold but 3C below average. I suppose its because its melting that its so cold.

Surly new engines that use less fuel and they would be fine for ages. maybe even pilotless versions would save a bit.
The physics is still the same they just fly.

There are a lot of guns in the US. There are a significant number in NZ also, violent crime in NZ is very significantly lower. I don't think its just the guns.
How many crimes would not have happened if guns were less fashionable to have on your person, a reverse argument also is heard.
My observation of the deltas relating to guns that may contribute is that assault weapons should be restricted, they make poor hunting guns. They attract the wrong people. Loaded hand guns are just dangerous in peoples daily use.
I think the number of people saved by an armed bystander is very small, but anecdotally it can be presented as a positive. We in NZ have a maximum magazine size of 10 and semi auto. I believe Australia restrict to bolt action I think NZ rules are fine, and yes we do have gun accidents and gun crimes.

The nitrogen fixing will cause massive tree growth.
Just maybe the Yamal tree ring data is a lightening record. We are saved again, how many times can the world be saved in one year.
The emotion driven label shows the goal.

When did breaking 20C become a heatwave.
The UK can be very hot if it blows from the east in summer but those projected temperatures are a sign of mission creep. Everything is an emergency.

So if Trump picks a half decent running mate and Trump were to be shot 2 weeks out from the election would the running mate be the candidate?
There are a lot of idiots out there and that is the only scenario that would in my mind unify the Rep. vote.
To many people will never vote for him, to many people would revolt if he were dumped from the nomination.
For the Dems. you can not assume that Hilary will not be arrested, that story has more to run so again the running mate is important.
Funniest election I have ever watched in the US. Both candidates largely unloved.

The world is internally heated by nuclear decay, and tidal friction. where that energy emerges is generally controlled by crustal conductivity plus a number of point releases such as volcano's and hot springs.(are there others?)
What is the balance between these two and if the world comes out of a cool spell as it did 12Kyr ago how long does it take to re establish equilibrium so that the crusts thermal gradient is again regular. Where the land is and was. The ocean is very cold at the bottom and the heat comes from within it must be a significant mobilizer of said energy to the surface. I have seen little written about this, actually nearly zero.

Maybe the UK should setup the Anglo community and take other countries in as they leave the highly undemocratic EU.
That is why the UK left the EU so assume GW is pleased the way things have developed given his interest in 'democratic' things.
The temperature in the north is below average currently which is remarkable given the extent of the exposed relatively warm seas. The ice remaining at season end is driven by weather systems, the energy released is driven by exposed seas. But as phyd says disaster averted again.

We shoot them because they are Australian's, you cant eat them down here because we are poisoning them also and that is not a great idea.
The tails make a great stew they say.

So what next.
I think the outcome will be much less than people propose.
1. Trade is good and there is no real dispute on that, the most fervent anti trader always pulls from his pocket an i phone which would have cost $10,000 were it not for trade. sadly also there would need to be apple companies in every country without trade. So trade will go on, we all want that stuff. 2. The EC is impacted by this vote in a way that exposes their madness, the EU will change a lot now otherwise they will lose more countries. The changes will help much more the greater good than any cost that the UK will experience. 3. The UK has a long history of international connection, the UK will reconnect and be better of and will very likely retain virtually all it has supposedly abandoned. The Eurocrats are concerned about their troughs running dry.
