Good one Acid. Argo is back. Just downloaded January-March, 2016 data. So now, we're only two months behind. Must have been a long vacation. Of course, March still shows El Nino strongly, but i'm updating my spreadsheets. A quick glance DOES NOT show the Atlantic temperature spike that was occurring by this time after the 2009 El Nino although there is an East Indian Ocean spike going on. Time will tell.

Look forward to your graphics!!!

Could someone save me a lot of reading and explain (simply) what are atmospheric teleconnection indices?

Could someone save me a lot of reading and explain (simply) what are atmospheric teleconnection indices? I'd like to hear that as well!

"About 90% of forests off the western coast were wiped out between 2011 and 2013, posing a threat to biodiversity and the marine economy, say scientists"
El Nino spike [2011 -13], now reversing fast.
The kelp will be back in a very few years.
I might add that an extraordinary "rainfall event" is now occurring across a large chunk of Northern Australia, in what is normally the dry season.
It looks like a few long-term rainfall records are about to be broken.

As I am fond of saying, it is clear we are all doomed. Never since time began have such events occurred, except the times they did.
