Typing getting back to normal Cannot read my own writing though Unimpressed with the (lack of) coordination of the various medical teams and insurance companies Individually, very impressed with the skill/understanding of individuals from visiting nurse practitioners to surgeons and oncologists The occupational and physical therapy support have discharged me (quite a bang  ) but every other group seems to have a reason to visit/phone/demand new bloodworks/state that they cannot cover/renew Rx,Post box is full of THIS IS NOT A BILL paperwork, However, with even us wrinklies walking around with amazing amounts of computer power linked by wide/broadband comms the lack of sensible use of that capability is amazing. So from a medical point of view the system is amazing from a coordination and organizational point of view they could take advice from a girlscout group. They have got a primordial system set up that has the standard hall marks of someone keen to get it right who was then moved and nobody has picked it up and made it really useful. |

I am not sure that they even understand how they can reduce their own workload and that of the patients. Seems that they use the patient as the 'logic check' on what is being asked. However, as you will know over here the medics can be draconian on appointment keeping. So they think nothing of calling and saying tomorrow afternoon at 1pm Oncology - they haven't yet caught me with that one as I am likely to say no cannot do that and counter offer tomorrow afternoon at 3pm Oncology  |
