[ Snip ] Some weather types are calling this the teaser winter (which warmists hate!) Idea is this is like 2009, tbh in North Bucks we had little snow and a very chilly week. Oop North theres been weeks of snow on and off. Racist!

UAH regional lower troposphere temperature anomalies are in. The tropics dropped to -0.08 C compared to global of 0.12 C (0.20 C spread). The tropics are now the lowest since prior to the 2015 Nino. Global anomalies lag the tropics by 0.2 C. ENSO-Sunspots and UAH Temperature anomalies updated to January, 2020 are shown below. Next stop shooting for 2010 tropic levels of -0.50 C. Still a ways to go, but the tropics index has fallen by -0.67 C since August. Tally ho! Missouri, you probably know, but the January readings have a different base year (1991-2020, I believe vs 1981-2010, which reduces the anomalies by a little over 0.1C. The anomalies from last year and prior are supposed to be updated in a few days. It's good to see the numbers coming down. The new UAH adjustments are in ... and are incorporated in the graph below. Little visual difference. February results should be interesting. Eyeopening?

The numbers will NOT be what the alarmists want They have managed to get a president in place who will accede to their wildest demands just at the time when the weather is not only going colder but making continual headlines about the cold It will be a hard sell in Texas to raise taxes because of the dangerous global warming and next year could be worse.

So in Texas they sell that the increased taxes are to build new ( green) power plants. Yes, that will still mean a lot of cold Texans next winter, but by then this winter's cold will have been erased from the record.

Certainly seems that most of these forecasts are on the warm side when compared with results for Ninas in 1998 and 2010, and trends for the current Nina. Are they and Neil Ferguson tapping into the same "devine" sources? Hopefully Texas will use a little more caution in selecting their prophets.

Seems that the guy(s) who updates the weekly ENSO regions datbase must be on vacation. Four weeks without an official update.
