Seems that the guy(s) who updates the weekly ENSO regions datbase must be on vacation. Four weeks without an official update. That usually means that the data is not matching what they forecast so they have to identify the error that they will blame and quantify the 'adjustment' that they have to use

That usually means that the data is not matching what they forecast so they have to identify the error that they will blame and quantify the 'adjustment' that they have to use I WOULD believe that ... but there are region anomalies showing up on Tropical Tidbits ... so I assume that it's just usual government efficiency.

Did a rough update of Nino Regions 3 &4 from Tropical Tidbits and plotted each Region separately. Seems clear that both regions continue to follow the general pattern of the 1998 and 2010 Ninas. Nina 2020 is closest in Region 3, while Region 4 is warmer than the previous two.
