It looks more like it will turn North and worry Bermuda. Although it would be nice if it did an Isabel and went up the Chesapeake

Both the European and the GFS have been consistent for days that this fizzles out before reaching 60W.

It looks more like it will turn North and worry Bermuda. Although it would be nice if it did an Isabel and went up the Chesapeake It had better not go up the Chesapeake. I'm still sore from fixing the Isaias damage. Plus, I agree that everyone agrees that it will fizzle. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure everyone also agrees that the end of Aug and September will be ugly. Just... Let someone else have the fun.

Perhaps you could send Congress down the Potomac in one big boat ... and call in a precision hit. I think the All Mighty owes us a favor. Sorry about the collateral damage.

There are some models say it will 'fizzle' ( tm dontgetoutmuch) and others that say it might just manage to hang on - but one thing is certain Mr Phydeaux has a few more quiet summer days of coffee on the front porch

Well the North Atlantic Drift may have drifted and the Florida current slowed but from this view it looks like there is more warmth getting up the East coast than there was and more in the Caribbean and Gulf.

Anybody know if the Bermuda high is not as high this season? Not a lot about it at all - although I did find this... ""A large high-pressure area that usually resides between Bermuda and the Azores is shifting southward this week," Kottlowski said. "In turn, this will cause the belt of northeast trade winds to shift farther south and strengthen into the zone where we usually have the parade of tropical waves heading westward." "www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2020/08/05/Experts-Tropical-Atlantic-may-take-a-breather-after-Isaias/4731596626200/It is probably the North Easterly trades that are providing the windshear to kill the TS in the Atlantic at the moment.

973 mb makes it Cat 2 or intense Cat 1? My guess is it will be stronger than that.

973 mb makes it Cat 2 or intense Cat 1? My guess is it will be stronger than that. Looking like an Irma or Matthew but we won't know until 2 or 3 day's time. If it goes over Puerto Rico the democrats will have field day.
