It's just a specialty niche of the romance novels.

It's just a specialty niche of the romance novels. You mean thrillers, surely?

I remember thinking myself clever by taking shelter under the cliffs on Roker Beach , Sunderland ,only to then see rocks begin falling from the walls/ceiling . I remember suddenly realising that the added weight of the shower, on the fields above, was squishing the rocks above us and so allowing loose rocks to fall. How much weight was in the 12" of rain that Matthew laid across Southern USA? As for isostatic uplift/rejuvination? That's well studied so we know how that can impact active fault zones? One thing not mentioned was 'Thermal expansion'? I recall a swathe of French nuclear Power stations having to close down in 03' as the cement they were built from had expanded so much as to cause safety issues? There are many winners and losers from climate change!

[ Snip ] There are many winners and losers from climate change! Are you suggesting there would be more losers in a warmer climate? I suspect more winners in a warmer climate. History suggests just that; here is some light bedtime reading: Chronological Listing of Early Weather Events

Its called erosion not isostatic compression.

It's just a specialty niche of the romance novels. You mean thrillers, surely? More like who slept with surely! Now that's a thriller as surely will die. But I digress. Actually I think I lost some brain cells last night. And Ratty ... your new avatar is .... How shall we say this??? U r in to something new???

[ Snip ] And Ratty ... your new avatar is .... How shall we say this??? U r in to something new??? Something old, rather. It's a very handsome young officer and his orderly room sergeant from a looooooooooooooong time ago. (RAAF recruiting poster: No wonder the service numbers dropped.) EDIT: Oops. New one is learners to the front line, experts at the rear.

We only lost one piano during a Rugby match inside the Mess. Occasional tables and chairs also suffered.
