Bees first appeared on earth in the Cretaceous period when temperatures were warmer than today. There was a mass extinction at the end of this period when a f**king great asteroid smashed in to earth.
The bees survived.
But a slight warming will now kill 'em off.
Must be related to "snowflakes". I have bees the size of small dogs. Must be CO2 ... or the six pack.

Gordon Chang was on Tucker Carlson last night saying that these unrequested seed deliveries could be a strange form of biological attack -

Had to make a run to Rochester, Minnesota. Found out why my ticker has been acting up.
Crops are about the best I have ever observed.

Lucky me. I have clean arteries but they spasm. Seems that is why local cardiologist didn't figure it out. When I am working hard, I feel great. When I am relaxing, not so much.

I didn't check to see where it is made, but either place wouldn't surprise me.

For a very large nation that is already a net ag products importer, 10 to 15 % is a lot of product. Ought to be a way for a savy marketer like Trump to make a killing for American Farmers out of this situation..

Morning all... Just signed on to check in, and ask if anyone (cough Sig) has heard anything about increased Chinese commodity purchases. I have been expecting to hear about large increases, and while I have heard about a few large corn buys, I'm not seeing the magnitude I have been expecting, are the reports overblown… Is the CCP sticking it’s head in the sand… Are they heading for a famine? 1. Flooding: There are rumblings that Chinees grain harvests will be down more than 30% this summer from flooding alone. 2. Corruption, Communism: At least some of their strategic grain storage was destroyed by mold prior to the rainy season. 3. Locusts: Minimal effects, but that thing with straw and camel’s backs. 4. Fall armyworm: When it rains… 5. African Swine Flu Ongoing?: Reports of swine flu have tricked to a stop, with the last one I can find in early June. Regardless: Pork production is down more then 40% this year as a result of the last two years impact of the virus. (It takes time to rebuild herds.) And pork prices are near record highs. 6. Avian Flu: This one I don’t know about, early in the year there were reports of at least two outbreaks of Avian Flu, which would devastate local chicken production, but there has been nothing but silence on the subject for months. Which is a little… Weird. If the outbreaks had been contained, wouldn’t there be an announcement? (Same with swine flu)

The relative openness that China had only 5 years ago has been shut down. Any sign of weakness will be hidden. I suspect that China is in a world of hurt at the moment but I doubt that it will be admitted to. It may even be that they prefer their people to starve rather than make supersized grain, pork and soybean orders even if they need them to avoid losing face. I think that they have played their hand incorrectly not realizing that if you crash all your customers' economies they have no money to purchase things from you and worse are rethinking their supply chains to not include China. A strange world
