Theyre giving the incubation period a chance to work its way through.... I read this earlier www.washingtonpost.com/world/coronavirus-china-latest-updates/2020/01/27/3634db9a-40a7-11ea-aa6a-083d01b3ed18_story.htmlInitially i was really concerned China was hiding the truth of the awfulness of the symptoms from the world. However thinking more its an economic concern that pushed them to instigate quarantine. Seeing how markets are reacting to events this weekend today and imagining if the virus had been allowed to spread (even more) unchecked, ultimately borders would have been closed and exports turned away from destinations. Then China would have been properly screwed and lost global confidence in a way that wouldnt be forgotten in a hurry. Yes many people die each year from flu, but do you know any in the past year?? And where did that flu come from, no-one knows.... If you knew someone who died from coronavirus you'd know. For China, better to isolate a few 10's million people and lose a bit of GDP and have a chance. Acceptable losses considering...

Things 'seem' contained for now. I'll leave at this for now, deaths are only recorded for diagnosed cases as per daily updates in China. How many are unable to get diagnosed due lack of facilities, potential volumn of numbers etc, we just dont know. How many are dying in their own homes, we don't know. For now we can only observe incidents outside of China, and hope we dont get suprised by incubation periods... www.cnbc.com/2020/01/28/coronavirus-health-experts-urge-calm-over-virus.htmlRatty, i only saw your previous post after i finished the above, hopefully that satisfies you? 😊

Didn't warm to the ' in their own homes' bit though. THINKS: Might do a head count at Shady Pines on arrival and maintain statistics.

And here y'all have been gossiping all night whilst I slept, about room temp stats and kamakazi microbes. That head count should proceed apace Ratty, as they do not move about as fast as the denizens of Sunny Daycare. And always remember Teddy's advice.

Well, it's appropriately colored Red. Still a power curve ... if you believe the data. CO rona2 ... already being attributed to climate change.
